5 Booths to Visit During Taste of Chamblee

If you haven’t visited Chamblee lately, you need to. It’s one of metro Atlanta’s most exciting neighborhoods, with new residences and restaurants opening every day. That’s why Taste of Chamblee (October 6th from 4pm – 8pm) is the perfect way to try out all of these awesome new dishes in one place. Take a look at our suggestions below and let us know if there’s any where else in Chamblee we should be visiting on social (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter), via @atlantaeatstv.

Cheese n Cheese from Food Terminal
Food Terminal
If you can get a taste of Food Terminal, then you’re basically getting a taste of Malaysia. Inspired by Malaysian street food, Food Terminal has been recognized as one of the country’s best new restaurants. At the main restaurant, they make an amazing friend rice called the Cheese N’ Cheese. It’s fried, tomato-braised rice with egg, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, smoked bacon, grilled spam, fresh corn, red onion, fried shallots, spring onions, and bell peppers.

The large Short Rib at Southbound
Southbound
Every neighborhood in metro Atlanta should have a Southern Food spot like Southbound. A large space that hosts weddings and other events, Southbound has all the elements of idyllic country life in the heart of a bustling city. If you can visit the restaurant, get the massive Short Ribs. If you’re visiting the booth, eat whatever they’re making. We promise you won’t regret it.

the pulled pork sandwich at bluetop
BlueTop
Sometimes, you just need to have a party. And at BlueTop, they’re ready to host that party whenever you need it. With a bar featuring creative cocktails and adult slushies, the drinks alone are worth visiting the restaurant. But they also have a great menu with chicken sandwiches, pulled pork, empanadas and a cast iron cookie. If any of these are available in their booth, dig IN.

The Robata at Hopstix
Hopstix
This is a booth you’ll definitely want to check out. Robata is the Japanese method of grilling meat and at Hopstix they are experts. Expect to see some Robata at Taste of Chamblee and try not to hog all of the shrimp, chicken and other meaty goodness. And if their beers are available on site, order the Kung Fu Hops or the Rice and Shine – unique and delicious!

the ribs at Old Brick Pit BBQ
Old Brick Pit
Every good party needs some slow cooked BBQ and at Taste of Chamblee, they’ll have one of Atlanta’s best. Around for over 40 years, these guys know how to make a great rack of ribs, smoked chicken and pulled pork sandwich (with the coleslaw IN the sandwich, never on the side). Just get whatever’s in the smoker at Taste of Chamblee this weekend – you won’t regret it!
