You could say it’s always a feeding frenzy at Atlanta Eats’ HQ, but to us it’s just another hard day’s work. We’re sharing the best things we ate last week to give you some food inspiration for the week ahead. Der Biergarten (Downtown)

It’s hard to beat phenomenal weather on a patio, especially with a 16 oz. beer in hand and a soft pretzel and German chocolate cake only a few inches away. Der Biergarten has an authentic menu of German food and the beer is older than Germany itself. This Weihenstephan has been served since 1040 AD! The flavor is so smooth it’s easy to believe it’s been brewed for a while…

Smoke Ring (Downtown)

When there are Vidalia onions in a dish, we have to order it. Smoke Ring creates the “Best damn grilled cheese ever” with fontina, smoked Gouda & Gruyere Parmesan, fire roasted poblanos and Vidalia onion marmalade. This makes for an exceptional hearty lunch or dinner any day of the week!

Morelli’s (Dunwoody)

While it’s hard to find “bad” ice cream, it’s just as difficult to find flavors that excel beyond the standard level of deliciousness. Morelli’s excels with each and every flavor they serve. This makes for a tough in-line decision. Luckily, they provide samples. We chose “Elvis Lives” with a powerful combination of peanut butter, chocolate and banana on top of (we couldn’t choose just 1) “Death by chocolate” which consists of dark chocolate ice cream with fudge swirl and chocolate chunks. Let’s pretend we didn’t even try that double scooper and order another 🙂
