Best Things We Ate Last Week

BTWATW_Blog1c

You could say it’s always a feeding frenzy at Atlanta Eats’ HQ, but to us it’s just another hard day’s work. We’re sharing the best things we ate last week to give you some food inspiration for the week ahead. Check out AtlantaEatsTV oInstagramFacebook, and Twitter for a constant stream of pictures if this doesn’t quite cure your food porn fix…

Pommes Frites from Ecco (Midtown)

It’s Atlanta Eats’ resident “French Fry Aficionado” reporting and I’m here to make a statement about the fries from Ecco. You need them. They make the top 10 and possibly top 5 list of my life. They’re twice-fried and you’ll never be satisfied with only one plateful.

Omelet from OK Cafe (Buckhead)

For an egg white omelet, this café creates one that’s leaps and bounds above “OK”. We suppose they under-promise and over-deliver? That must be the key to their success over the past (almost) 30 years. OK Café is up and running, better than ever post- fire. This simple veggie egg white omelet with Creole sauce (aka spicy tomatoes) is a signature item that is sure to brighten your day.

Shwarma Laffa from Yalla (Krog Street Market)

In case you need some deciphering….shwarma= seasoned chicken that is carved off a spit. Laffa= essentially a Mediterranean tortilla. This is one of our go-to items at Krog Street Market because it feels healthy and hits every tastebud right on the mark. Here’s how to order: shwarma in a laffa wrap. It comes with hummus, baba ganoush, Israeli salad, pickles, fried eggplant, harissa, tahini and amba stuffed inside too!
