Best Thing We Ate Last Week

BTWATW_Blog1c

You could say it’s always a feeding frenzy at Atlanta Eats’ HQ, but to us it’s just another hard day’s work. We’re sharing the best things we ate last week to give you some food inspiration for the week ahead. Check out AtlantaEatsTv on InstagramFacebook, and Twitter for a constant stream of pictures if this doesn’t quite cure your food porn fix…

Sprinkles Cupcakes (Buckhead)

One of the perks of Atlanta Eats location is our proximity to Sprinkles. We all take turns stocking the office with dozens of Sprinkles because who can drive by without buying any?! Red velvet never goes out of style around here.

Leon’s Full Service (Decatur)

As resident “French Fry Aficionado”, I know a good fry when I bite into one. The fry cone is usually a good indication that care and quality has been stuffed inside these pretty fried potatoes. Leon’s puts so much attention into their fry presentation that they even have a menu of specialty ketchups including: garlic aioli, goat cheese fondue, peppercorn gravy, masaman curry, chili-sorghum and many more. If you opt for Heinz, they may make a curt gesture but they keep it stocked in the back too.

The Flying Biscuit (Sandy Springs)

This Atlanta staple may be popping up in every neighborhood, but the quality is not compromised by its quantity I can assure you. I opted for the “Hollywood Omelet” which sounds pretentious but after devouring it I realized it has every right to be. Spinach and mushrooms are sautéed with egg whites and cheese. I substituted white cheddar for goat cheese and was pleasantly surprised by the contrast of flavor with the warm tomato coulis served on top. Flying Biscuit’s grits were out of control with cream cheese richness pouring through. Every dish is served with a biscuit to guarantee you won’t go home hungry.
