Best Thing We Ate Last Week

BTWATW_Blog1c

You could say it’s always a feeding frenzy at Atlanta Eats’ HQ, but to us it’s just another hard day’s work. We’re sharing the best things we ate last week to give you some food inspiration for the week ahead. Check out AtlantaEatsTv on InstagramFacebook, and Twitter for a constant stream of pictures if this doesn’t quite cure your food porn fix…

Antico Pizza (Avalon)

The first pizza I ever tried at Antico’s flagship location was the capriciossa. It has the perfect ratio of artichokes, mushrooms, prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella and instantly quiets you and your feeding buddies. This pizza is a masterpiece of deliciousness and as much as you may not want to share, you should. It will bring happiness to anyone who consumes even a little bite- I guarantee it! Saturday was my first experience at the Antico at Avalon and it tasted just like I was over in Little Italia on the Westside. I do have one insight to share: they now limit sides of marinara sauce to 1 per pizza. Better to order more!

Another Broken Egg Cafe (Johns Creek)

Sometimes all you need is batch of fried dough rolled around in a heap of sugar to brighten your morning. Beignets are simple, yet heavenly. Another Broken Egg is not a traditional Cajun establishment but man, does it know how to fry up some doughy delicacies! Don’t make the mistake of just ordering one batch- 2 is the way to go! Make sure to dip in their orange marmalade- it tastes so good it makes you forget where you are!

Cafe Jonah (Buckhead)

Cafe Jonah is a bit off the beaten path (i.e. 100 yards from the Buckhead bar scene) and worth every step their direction. A sister spot to Souper Jenny, Cafe Jonah believes in healthy, homemade and locally sourced food. I indulged in a weekday breakfast with their special vegetable egg frittata topped with goat cheese, tomato sauce and arugula, a side of mixed berries and a gorgeously flakey croissant. I won’t neglect to mention the Dancing Goats Coffee. It had an incredibly rich roasted flavor that got my morning going!
