One could say it’s always a feeding frenzy at Atlanta Eats’ HQ, but to us, it’s just another hard day at work. We’re showcasing the best things we ate last week to give you some food inspiration for the week ahead. Check out AtlantaEatsTV on InstagramFacebook and Twitter for a constant stream of food porn if this post doesn’t quite cure your fix.

Fried Elvis Sundae from Takorea (Midtown & Dunwoody)

Let us fuel your hankerin’ love for this rockin’ dessert, fit for The King himself! Lace up your blue suede shoes and dig into this crazy yummy concoction of peanut butter ice-cream and crispy tempura bananas inside a warm cinnamon tortilla. Topped off with a cherry, this is an indulgence you’re going to remember. Takorea in Midtown creates one of a kind Korean-Mexican fusion dishes like this sundae for an unparalleled dining experience. Like mom always said, dessert is the most important meal of the day, so make it count! PRO TIP: Like salty/sweet combos? Pair this treat with the Sesame fries. You’re sooo welcome.

Angelfire BBQ Shrimp Po’Boy and Mac and Cheese from Truck and Tap (Woodstock)

“I love food trucks!” -everyone who has literally ever been to one. With a long list of awards, Angelfire BBQ is certainly a top notch choice. Shrimp smoked over a pecan-wood fire are drizzled with a spicy, creamy horseradish aioli and placed over a bed of butter lettuce in this unbelievable Shrimp Po’Boy sandwich.  And of course, what’s a BBQ food truck without unbelievable mac-n-cheese? When you visit the Angelfire truck, this is a MUST ORDER…it’s insanely delicious! Angelfire BBQ can be found at Truck and Tap, one of the most unique dining concepts we’ve been to! If you get thirsty after enjoying your grub, just head to the bar and take your pick from the 11 rotating craft beers on tap.

Pimento Cheese from The Southern Gentleman (Buckhead)

A southern classic with a modern twist, the Southern Gentleman’s Pimento Cheese small plate is a cheese lover’s dream. Homemade salty and crispy chips are the perfect accompaniment for scooping this decadent cheese, pea and corn succotash mixture. If you thought normal potato chips were addicting, just wait until you feast on the gastropub’s homemade ones! Still hungry? Choose from an extensive collection of over 50 bourbons and 40 whiskeys and pair your choice(s) with the shrimp & grits entree at the Southern Gentleman for a artistically traditional experience.
