Best Things We Ate Last Week – 6/6

btwalw_600x400

One could say it’s always a feeding frenzy at Atlanta Eats’ HQ, but to us, it’s just another hard day at work. We’re showcasing the best things we ate last week to give you some food inspiration for the week ahead. Check out AtlantaEatsTV on InstagramFacebook and Twitter for a constant stream of food porn if this post doesn’t quite cure your fix.

Grilled Queso BLT Taco from Cabo Cantina (Buckhead)

Grilled Queso BLT Taco from Cabo

Cabo Cantina is literally a 2-minute walk from our office building which is a gift from above because this BLT Taco makes us weak in the knees. A generous portion of queso fresca is grilled to melt, topped with crispy bacon & a plentiful serving of ultra fresh tomato and lettuce. Aaaaand if you’re *not* here on a work lunch break (or if you are, no judging!), you’ve gotta pair it with the Spicy Jalapeno marg and/or the Guava Mojito. Both are beyond refreshing! Cheers to tacos, y’all.

Filet with Oscar from Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse (Alpharetta, Buckhead, Centennial Olympic Park, Kennesaw)

Filet with Oscar from Ruth's Chris

Ruth’s Chris has answered our steak prayers! 11 ounces of juicy, tender steak topped with a jumbo lump crab cake, asparagus and a homemade béarnaise sauce. Pure heaven is what this dish should be called. Our knives cut through this steak like butter and it melted in our mouths just the same. The sweetness from the crab cake drenched in the creamy béarnaise sauce with grilled asparagus all atop a lean filet made for a divine dish. We highly recommend that each bite you take have all the fixings so you can fully submerge yourself in this savory plate. We also ordered their creamy mashed potatoes because steak and potatoes are our thing and should be yours, too!

Pepperoni Pizza from Galla’s Pizza (Chamblee & Sandy Springs)

Pepperoni Pizza from Galla's

New York style pizza in Atlanta with daily sliced pepperoni imported from NY…need we say more?! Galla’s Pizza was the first to bring slate crust pizza to the ATL and we are oh so thankful for it. Who can resist light and airy yet crispy crust with the freshest of tomato sauces and cheesy goodness mozzarella on top? Definitely not us! And to top it off, use this special kind of pepperoni that browns around the edges and cups up, retaining all the juicy goodness! This pizza made us fall in love with a classic all over again. Order this pie with some garlic rolls like we did for an amazingly delicious pizza partayyy!
