One could say it’s always a feeding frenzy at Atlanta Eats’ HQ, but to us, it’s just another hard day at work. We’re showcasing the best things we ate last week to give you some food inspiration for the week ahead. Check out AtlantaEatsTV on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter for a constant stream of food porn if this post doesn’t quite cure your fix.
Baklava from Taverna Plaka (Cheshire Bridge)
Boy oh boy did this sweet treat blow our minds! The delicious combination of phyllo dough, honey, and pistachios will take your sweet tooth on a trip to Greece that you will not want to come back from. Be sure to save room after your meal for this flaky, crunchy dessert. Paired with the lively atmosphere of the tavern (belly dancers, napkin throwing & plate breaking!), you’ll feel like you ventured to the Mediterranean for the night.
Beer Battered Bacon Burger from Taco Mac (various locations)
Out of all the burgers we’ve sunk our teeth into, this one is definitely a showstopper. Picture this: two decadent beef patties topped with American cheese, a specialty house-made bourbon-onion jam & beer battered bacon on a toasted brioche bun. And let us clarify, the bacon is battered in Atlanta’s locally brewed Sweetwater 420, which is one of our fave brews! Served with piping hot fries, this is the perfect meal to enjoy while watching a game at your local T Mac.
Short Rib Hash from Foundation Social Eatery (Roswell)
Some of our favorite brunch dishes can be found at Foundation Social Eatery in Roswell. We had the culinary pleasure of devouring the Braised Short Rib & Mushroom Hash. This mastery of breakfast & lunch is a hash of juicy short ribs, mushrooms and a country potato topped with a poached egg, frisee & black truffle vinaigrette. Perfect to feast on while guzzling down bottomless mimosas on a Sunday morning, go try this beauty with the crew for Sunday Funday…you’re in for a treat!
