Best Things We Ate Last Week

btwalw_600x400

One could say it’s always a feeding frenzy at Atlanta Eats’ HQ, but to us, it’s just another hard day at work. We’re showcasing the best things we ate last week to give you some food inspiration for the week ahead. Check out AtlantaEatsTV on InstagramFacebook, and Twitter for a constant stream of food porn if this post doesn’t quite cure your fix.

Garlic Bread Fondue from Mondo’s Italian Kitchen (Milton)

We’re suckers for good starters & apps, and the Garlic Bread Fondue from Mondo’s definitely was a kick ass beginning to our meal here! Not many things are better than bread and cheese, so you can imagine the deliciousness your tastebuds experience when the 2 are served together. Garlic and herbed Ciabatta crostini is paired with a steamy bowl of creamy Italian cheese sauce for optimal dipping & dunking.

Orecchiette from Double Zero (Emory Village)

Tucked away in Emory Village is modern Italian-American gem Double Zero, part of the Castellucci family (think Iberian Pig, Cooks & Soldiers & Sugo). After taking a few bites of the Orecchiette, our taste buds & tummies were very gracious of our choice. The beautiful blend of pasta, spicy sausage, broccolini, Grana Padano FOAM, cherry tomatoes & Marcona almonds had us licking the bowl clean!

Waverly Pizza from Rize Artisan Pizza & Salads (Poncey-Highland & Sandy Springs)

The perfect balance of a thin, airy & crispy crust topped with so much deliciousness is the prime way to describe The Waverly from Rize. We’re talkin’ prosciutto, shredded mozzarella, gorgonzola, asiago, FIM JAM, balsamic reduction & grana padano on this pie. Each bite was a ride on the flavor train as the mixture of toppings, careful crafting of the pizza (think stone-hearth baked, hand-painted crust with olive oil & approval from a certified chef before being served). If you’re sharing this pie with others, be sure to put more than one slice on your plate…you’re definitely going to want a third & a fourth!
