Racetrac Swirl World (Johns Creek)
Some take froyo as a fad, but Racetrac has ensured this sweet treat’s survival. Swirl World has the #1 selection of flavors in my book, but their peanut butter cookie is the one that taunts me to make the trek over. Their flavors are decadent and sinfully delicious but they have probiotics and many are low calorie! (Until I fill my carton to the brim with m&ms and rainbow sprinkles…)
“The Shouk” at Yalla (Krog Street Market, Inman Park)
With a name like “The Shouk” I figured it encompassed the most “deluxe” edition of every other menu option, so it was worth a shot. This pita is bursting at the seams with shwarma, fries, hummus, baba ganoush, Israeli pickles, cole slaw, harissa, tahini, and amba. Yes, you read that right- fries inside pita! Even if this is your first go around with Mediterranean food, there is no way The Shouk will steer you wrong.
Peach Dessert at 4th and Swift (Old Fourth Ward)
I may be the only tried and true southern lady who knew nothing of peach pound cake’s existence. This deliciously dainty dessert finally presented itself to me on the daily menu at 4th and Swift. I’m so happy the prix fixe is also a la carte. My order was a cross between a milk soaked bread pudding and a crunchy- crusted cake adorned with a scoop of vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce and granola on the side. If I could order one exquisite dessert the rest of my life. I think this would be it. (Check out more of 4th and Swift here).
