Chef Pano invites Atlantans to a Celebration of Greece at Kyma on Thursday, May 14. The evening will feature the very best of Greek food, wine and music as guests gather to celebrate the sights, sounds and tastes of timeless Greece.

The event will begin with an elegant cocktail reception at 6 p.m. Guests will enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres, Greek wine and live music in a festive tent outside the restaurant, while Chef Pano roasts whole lambs on spits. At 7 p.m., the celebration will move into the dining room for a five-course dinner with wine pairings. An array of meze will start the meal, including Kyma’s popular wood-grilled octopus, followed by mouth-watering spit-roasted lamb and sides to compliment. Finally, guests will finish the meal with a tasting of Kyma’s signature desserts.

Music will fill the air all evening as Kyma welcomes popular Greek musicians Irini Haridou, Nikos Plios and their five-piece band on tour from Athens, Greece. The band is known for their contemporary Greek sounds and melodious voices. This is the only Southern stop on the band’s multi-city tour of the US.

International wine expert Sofia Perpera will hand-select the wines for the reception and dinner. She is the owner and CEO of All About Greek Wine, a beverage alcohol consulting company specializing in the Greek wine and spirits sectors. Sofia has received many professional awards including recent recognition as one of the top 100 most influential people in the US wine industry by intowine.com.

There is only one seating for the Celebration of Greece event at Kyma. The cocktail reception begins at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Reservations are available for $200 per person (all inclusive) and can be made by calling the restaurant at 404-262-0702 or visiting www.buckheadrestaurants.com.
