Where To Get Thanksgiving To-Go in Atlanta

Whoever thinks Thanksgiving is relaxing has clearly never been in charge of cooking the meal.

You’re worried about sourcing a turkey (it weighs how much?!), choosing sides and appetizers (do people actually like cranberry sauce?), figuring out seating for your visitors (will Cousin Kyle be offended he’s at the kid’s table?), and preparing for the monsoon of dishes you’ll have to wash (Siri: how do I clean a dish coated with burned mac and cheese?).

On top of that, the food might flat out suck. Your turkey might be dry. Your stuffing could be soggy. And maybe that casserole you saw on TikTok didn’t quite translate to your kitchen.

Luckily, there are restaurants all over the Atlanta area who want to take over the hard part for you and handle the cooking, letting you focus on watching football and debating politics with the family (ah, the holidays!)

Here are some of those places helping to make your Thanksgiving stress-free.

1. Local Three

The food at Local Three is hard to define in terms other than “delicious”. It’s a relaxed yet creative take on refined American style cuisine, with comforting cocktails to boot. It’s exactly the kind of place you can trust to make your Thanksgiving meal one to remember.

What You Get:

You can either opt for the full Family Feast or choose your items à la carte. The Family Feast includes your choice of a turkey or a spiral cut ham, along with a whole lotta sides, including but not limited to: green bean casserole, four-cheese mac and cheese, and Grateful Bread yeast rolls (I mainly included those for the name). The full feast is $399, which may seem steep until you realize it feeds up to 12 people, which shakes out to roughly $33 a head.

What You Need to Know:

There are pickup times available every half hour from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM from 11/21 to 11/22. Place your order here ASAP!

2. DBA Barbecue

When you think about unbelievably tasty BBQ, chances are your first thought is a shack in the middle of nowhere rather than an air-conditioned restaurant in Virginia Highlands. But DBA Barbecue is no joke when it comes to brisket, pulled pork, chicken wings, or turkey. Their turkey is so good, in fact, that it’s ready to be the star of your Thanksgiving table.

What You Get:

Barbecue plus Thanksgiving can only mean smoked turkey, and DBA has you covered with either a whole one or sliced turkey breast that you can buy by the pound. The full Turkey Package includes a turkey, several classic sides, gravy, and relish.

What You Need to Know:

All orders require a 48-hour notice (smoking an entire turkey takes time!) and can be placed either here or by emailing [email protected]

4. Tucker Brewing Company

There’s no place quite as welcoming as a local brewery, and Tucker Brewing Company is no exception. They also happen to serve fantastic German food, a level of quality that carries over to their Thanksgiving offerings.

What You Get:

Take your pick of any combination of entrees, sides, and desserts. Each serves 4-6 people and includes reheating instructions. Highlights include: citrus brined turkey breast, cornbread stuffing, wild mushroom green bean casserole, and pumpkin pie.

If you’re just looking for a few extra goodies to supplement your home-cooked meal, you can get just a turkey or just the family-style sides (or just go for broke and get the apple or pumpkin pie). It should come as no surprise that their Thanksgiving is equally craveworthy.
