Where to Watch The Big Games

If you’re a true football fan, you have a tendency to be a bit particular about your game-day experience. For some, this means wearing the same unwashed jersey each and every Saturday whereas others perform some tedious research on football-friendly places to watch the game. If you’re not into the research side of football, we’ve got you covered! Here are some of our favorite spots to kick back and watch your team win it all!

Marlow’s Tavern

Here is your spot for a variety of appetizers, killer burgers, a fabulous bar and HD TVs everywhere you look. Luckily, Marlow’s has 15 locations so there is definitely a spot near you! They stay open late until 1 a.m. in most locations! Be sure to sample the Shrimp & Crab “nacho” plate for “nacho” average football food!

Hugo’s Oyster Bar

There is only one Hugo’s location but it remains the classy spot for football viewing. It’s bright and inviting, yet welcomes some friendly competition! They bring some Cajun flare with Hugo’s recipes- you can’t look past their oyster and po’ boy selection! We recommend the daring combination of Hugo’s signature oysters topped with jalapeno, cheddar and bacon!

Smokebelly BBQ

If you want to get down and dirty with a whole table’s worth of sides, Smokebelly even serves them “skinny”. This means you get to indulge with dips and snacks that won’t attribute to this season’s beer belly. Try their edamame hummus or lettuce wraps with charred corn, blue cheese, red peppers, cherry tomatoes, smoked almonds & citrus cilantro vinaigrette for a unique starter!

Be sure to watch all of these football-friendly places on Atlanta Eats’ Primetime special, this Saturday, September 12 at 8 p.m. (directly after the UGA vs. Vanderbilt game) on CBS!
