We Love Carbs! Our Suggestions for National Pasta Day
We love carbs. So on National Pasta day we have a few ideas for where you can go to celebrate (or if you’re looking to carbo load any time of year). Check out our list below and take a long nap when you’re done.
Pappardelle con Coniglio at DiPaolo
DiPaolo in Alpharetta/Johns Creek is a mom and pop Italian restaurant that has been serving great meals in the area since 1995. With an lengthy wine list, you’ll find something that pairs perfectly with their large, flat Pappardelle and a beautifully braised rabbit.
Mezzaluna at Double Zero
At Double Zero, they make their pasta fresh every day and turn it into these beautiful mezzaluna – half moon shaped pasta that goes perfectly with celery root, asiago, sage, sherry , walnut, hen of the woods mushroom and beet.
Agnolotti at Il Giallo
Chef Jamie Adams prepares fresh Agnolotti daily at his Sandy Springs restaurant. He’s currently offering pasta-making classes as well. You can get more info here.
Pumpkin Ravioli at No. 246
This Decatur pasta spot is part of the Ford Fry family of restaurants and the quality is on par with his excellent record. They made a pumpkin ravioli when we visited and since it’s the season once again for pumpkins, they may have it available.
Squid ink Spaghetti at St. Cecilia
They may be famous for their Agnolotti, but we love their Squid ink spaghetti as well. The spiciness comes from Calabrian chilis, with charred calamari as a protein and basil pesto to bind it all together.
