Tacos La Villa
There is something to be said about a place that is so confident in the fact its food will blow you away, that they don’t even change the décor from the restaurant that was located in the spot before them. In a time where it seems restaurants care more about their décor and ambiance than the actual food that they put in front of you Tacos La Villa seems to be a throwback to a time where food was not only the most important thing, but the only thing that mattered.
Located in a quaint non descript Cobb Parkway shopping center the first thing you notice when you walk in the doors is that this authentic Mexican taqueria used to be a Quiznos and Tacos La Villa does not care if you know that. They left most of the Quiznos signage up, and the only thing that seems to be changed is the menu on the wall. They want their food to do the talking not the surroundings, and let me tell you they achieve this with a plethora of delectable dishes.
When talking about the food you cannot start without first mentioning their unbelievable $1 tacos! They come out bare with just the tortilla and your choice of protein, but what makes these tacos stand out from the rest is the huge taco bar they offer for you to dress each of your tacos in your image of perfection. Every item is incredibly fresh from the five different types of homemade salsas, to the cilantro, limes, and even cabbage. If you aren’t in the mood for tacos the tamales are a must order!
While out that way, Smyrna offers some great attractions that complete any trip. Such as heading to the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center located just a short drive from Taco La Villa; this gorgeous building houses a variety of events from thrilling plays, to big name concerts.
