In March 2013 Chefpreneur, Ford Fry will open King + Duke in Buckhead, adding another restaurant to his already impressive list that includes No. 246, JCT Kitchen, and The Optimist. The new restaurant is promised to be “Colonial American” and will feature an open hearth and kitchen so diners can see their food being cooked.
Atlanta Eats caught up with Fry at No. 246 in Decatur to talk about how the Atlanta dining scene has changed in the last 15 years, how he’s been developing some of Atlanta’s best chefs as he develops some of Atlanta’s best new restaurants. Chef Ford shares his thoughts on his favorite places to eat, and what he likes to cook at home, and why Atlanta needs “less frills, and more technique.”
