Porch Light Latin Kitchen

When diners come to this quaint spot in Smyrna, head chef & owner Andre Gomez wants them to feel completely comfortable, like they are having lunch or dinner at his house. The same attention & detail put into making sure every table is happy & that all guests feel welcome is also incorporated into the food. Using many local products from farmers, growers & businesses as well as working in a scratch kitchen, each plate is prepped with extreme care & brings an authentic taste from Andre’s childhood in Puerto Rico.

Highlights

Puerto Rican Fried Pork Chop “Can Can”

Big, beautiful & beyond juicy. A loin chop with ribs, belly & skin is brined for a day & a half, seasoned with Kosher salt, Adobo & pepper, then grilled & deep fried. Served with citrus mojo.

Chicken Burrito

Think arroz con pollo wrapped in a tortilla. Springer mountain chicken is brined and roasted whole in a Sweetwater 420 beer can, then pressed on the flaptop for texture.

Triple Torta

This sammie will melt in your mouth. Bacon, beef short rib & pork shoulder, shredded lettuce, avocado aioli & a fried egg on 2 slices of Grateful Bread, a local Smyrna bakery.
