Chef Adolfo Gonzalez got his start as a dishwasher at Atlanta Fish Market at 15 years old. After working his way up to Sous Chef, Adolfo learned how to elevate simple ingredients into rich flavors. Now, he’s putting that to use in his restaurant, Taco Cantina in Old Fourth Ward, an off-shoot of their already successful (and delicious) Taco Cantina location in Smyrna. Check out the delicious tacos, tortas and other amazing dishes from Taco Cantina!
They do a variety of tacos at taco cantina, including carne aside, barbacoa, al pastor, pescado frito, and a confit portobello cauliflower taco that’s perfect for your non-meat eating friends.
They may have a Mexican background, but they know how to make a mean Cuban sandwich. It’s been voted best of Atlanta in multiple publications and features slow cooked pork, Black Forest ham, baby Swiss cheese with chipotle mayo and mustard relish.
Putting the best of their barbacoa taco in a sandwich, this torta features braised shredded brisket, pepper jack cheese, pickled onions, lime crema, pico de Gallo, lettuce, cilantro and mayo.
