There, an Eatery

Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name. It’s true, sometimes you just do. In Buckhead, finding that neighborhood hole on the wall can feel like a hopeless quest. But travel a couple of miles northeast to Brookhaven’s There, and you’ll find what you’ve been looking for.

Atlanta has a few truly great gastro pubs where as much attention is paid to the food as the beer, and There is one of the best — in fact, it received an honorable mention within the Best Hole in the Wall category by Jezebel’s Best of Atlanta.

And it’s not just the extensive collection of great craft beers, including the entire Monday Night Brewing menu, that makes this a perfect place to while away a few hours. From cajun approved etouffee to a bison burger that many believe is the best in the city, as well as locally sourced vegetables that come from There’s own garden a quarter acre away from the restaurant, the menu is as farm-to-tale as it gets.

Bison Burger

Inspired by the double patty created by Todd Ginsberg back when he ran the kitchen at Bocado, There’s bison burger is consistently ranked among the city’s best burgers.

Braised Short Ribs

With a miso-ginger glaze, and served with wasabi cream and fingerling potatoes, these ribs are a perfect appetizer, and can give you your meat fix if you’re planning on ordering a salad. Though why you would when the bison burger’s on the menu we’ll never know.
