Best Things We Ate Last Week

BTWATW_Blog1c

You could say it’s always a feeding frenzy at Atlanta Eats’ HQ, but to us it’s just another hard day’s work. We’re sharing the best things we ate last week to give you some food inspiration for the week ahead. Check out AtlantaEatsTV oInstagramFacebook, and Twitter for a constant stream of pictures if this doesn’t quite cure your food porn fix…

Picante Roll from The One Plus Sushi (Brookhaven)

As Atlanta is not a beach town, it’s also not so easy to find an impressive sushi selection. The One Plus Sushi finally accomplishes that goal without making you spend a fortune! Their chic atmosphere and extensive menu of food and drinks may give you a slight issue with indecision, though. This time around, we tried the Picante Roll filled with mild spicy yellowtail, cucumber, cilantro, fresh yellowtail, salmon and jalapeño Yuzu sauce with a ginger salad & edamame to start. We made a great choice, but we’re ready to go back and tackle the remainder of the menu!

Gelato from Café Gio (West Midtown)

If you want to take a quick trip to Italy, look no further than Hemphill Avenue in West Midtown. Gio’s section of “Little Italy” restaurants totally transports you to an authentic Italian time and space. Within the square, Antico cooks up wood-fired pizza just like you’d find in Naples, Gio’s offers the most savory chicken & pasta dishes people only dream of and Café Gio has a variety of gelato and Italian desserts to please any palate. We ordered the salted caramel gelato as a perfect compliment to the chocolate chip cannoli.

Three Hot Chicks from Delia’s Chicken Sausage Stand (Westside & East Atlanta)

Delia Champion left The Flying Biscuit to specialize in one food she knows best- chicken sausage. She has expanded her empire into 2 restaurants + chicken sausage sold in grocery stores around the state. She creates meals out of this delicious staple to appease any palate- served with greens and grilled mac n cheese to smothered in marinara sauce and topped with cheese. The best way to get a bite of her whole concept, order Three Hot Chicks. Two sliders with chicken sausage patties and a third with a chicken sausage meatball are served with completely different ingredients. One with cheese sauce and jalapeños, the second with coleslaw and the third with marinara and mozzarella cheese. For only $6.49, you can afford a side of “Wedgies” aka fresh cut fries to accessorize your plate.
