NORTHERN RHONE WINE TASTING

Tuesday, April 11 | 6:30pm | Murphy’s Restaurant

Whether you’re a connosieur of grape Syrah or choose your wines based on how cool the bottle label looks, consider learning more about the vintages that come out of France’s Northern Rhone region. NATIONAL GRILLED CHEESE DAY

Wednesday, April 12 | 5:00pm | Cooks & Soldiers

We’ve been counting down until National Grilled Cheese Day for 364 days! And it’s finally here. There’s a grilled cheese party going down at Cooks & Soldiers, home of the famous Bikini grilled cheese. In honor of this oh-so-important national holiday, Cooks & Soldiers is offering, in addition to the traditional white American, Iberian ham, and black truffle Bikini, a “breakfast Bikini,” which is topped with even more ooey-gooey melted cheese and a sunny-side-up egg.

Grilling is awesome. Braai-ing is on a whole other level. Join celebrity chef Kevin Gillespie at Shep’s Midtown ACE Hardware and learn his favorite recipes and cooking techniques using the South African KUDU Safari Braai. Enjoy plenty of food (the menu includes things like grilled oyster mushroom toast with mascarpone and hot giariniera, grilled pork tenderloin with Spanish-style garlic shrimp and blackberry cobbler) plenty of booze, and plenty of good times.
