Take your tastebuds on a tour of Southern Italy – known to locals as Mezzogiorno – and experience the simple seafood dishes and rustic flavors of Italy’s hilltop villages and seaside towns. Starting this Wednesday, La Tavola is celebrating Southern Italian cuisine with a special seasonal menu full of a la carte items (think baked scallops, squid ink calamarata, and royal red shrimp fusilli), available in addition to their full menu. This Saturday at 10:00am, learn how to grind, case and cook your very own sausage. You’ll go home with a wealth of knowledge…and 2 whole pounds of your homemade sausage concoction. Class includes a lunch of beer bratwurst, country sides and beverages.

We’re suckers for a good food & music festival! Muddbuggs & Music promises endless crawfish, exotic flavors, live music, and a beer garden…right in the heart of Duluth. Sponsored by Rock 100.5, Kicks 101.5 and the city of Duluth, this is a family-friendly event that is sure to be a good time for kids and adults alike.

THE OPTIMIST PATIO PARTY
Sunday, April 23 | | 1-5:00pm | The Optimist
Get fired up for a lobster-oyster grillfest! Sponsored by Lexus and executed by chefs Pat Pascarella and Drew Belline, you can look forward to half-roasted lobsters, mini lobster rolls and oysters served just about every way imaginable. The event will be set to a live music soundtrack, courtesy of Atlanta’s Wasted Potential Brass Band, with additional entertainment in the way of corn hole, putt putt and giant Jenga.
