Best Things We Ate Last Week

btwalw_600x400

One could say it’s always a feeding frenzy at Atlanta Eats’ HQ, but to us, it’s just another hard day at work. We’re showcasing the best things we ate last week to give you some food inspiration for the week ahead. Check out AtlantaEatsTV on InstagramFacebook, and Twitter for a constant stream of food porn if this post doesn’t quite cure your fix.

Rib Fingers from 678 Korean BBQ & 770 Korean BBQ (Duluth & Suwanee)

Korean BBQ is our jam. It’s not just about the insane food…it’s about the experience. Servers cooking your food right in front of you, enjoying each course one at a time until you’re ready for the next, & really bonding with those sitting with you around the table. Our recent trips to 678 Korean BBQ and 770 Korean BBQ (sister restaurants both in Gwinnett) delighted us with a ton of amazing food, but our absolute favorite dish was the Rib Fingers! This meat was tender, and trust us, we know what tender meat tastes like…we’ve had a TON of it! Served with tofu, radish wraps, pickled daikon, dongchimi, green onion salad, veggies & a spicy signature sauce, the spread is quite an impressive! If you’ve never had Korean BBQ, you MUST go try some!

Brisket from DAS BBQ (West Midtown)

Slowly-smoked, juicy brisket is this spot’s bread and butter. If you only order one item off the new Westside restaurant’s menu, make sure it’s this with a side of the spicy elote cream corn. Inspired by the BBQ Czech & German settlers in Central Texas made back in the 1850’s, DAS BBQ aims for a relaxed environment where customers can feel comfortable and connect with others while enjoying delicious food. Come hang in the evenings & listen to live music on the front porch while sipping a locally brewed beer!

Pastel de Tres Leches from Pure Taqueria (Alpharetta, Duluth, Inman Park, Woodstock, Roswell & Brookhaven)

Sugared almonds, toasted coconut, vanilla rum and “three milks” on top of a layered sponge cake is just pure goodness! The insane take on tres leches cake from PURE is an amazing way to wrap up a meal here. Also known for its award winning margaritas and overall approach to creative yet authentic Mexican cuisine, PURE is a great place to hit up for a fun & relaxed meal. If you venture to the Inman Park location, make sure to sit outside on the shaded patio so you can check out the action on North Highland, one of the busiest streets in the hood.
