We’ve got the scoop on what’s good this week! From Taco Tuesday and an aphrodisiac-inspired food and music festival to a food-filled fundraiser from our friends at Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q and Taqueria del Sol, things are getting tasty in the ATL. 

ODDBIRD POP-UP

Wednesday, February 8 | 5:30-9pm | West Egg Cafe

Odd bird only pops up once a month, whipping up such Southern delicacies as fried chicken biscuits, Nashville-style hot chicken, chicken and waffles, beer, cocktails, and of course pie. Don’t miss this month’s pop-up at West Egg Cafe. 

3 CHOCOLATE 3 GRAPPA

Wednesday, February 8 | 7:30pm | Bellini Alimentari

Channel your inner paisan and learn the art and science of making grappa. Alongside Bellini Alimentari’s bar manager and mixologist Corey Philips, you’ll discover the many flavors of Italy’s famous grape-based pomace brandy. Enjoy a guided tasting, complete with food and chocolate pairings from the kitchen. Close the evening out by crafting your own grappa and sipping on a chocolatey winter cocktail. Tickets are $35.

SUGO’S ‘FOR THE LOVE OF CHOCOLATE’ VALENTINE’S DAY DINNER

Thursday, February 9 | 6:00pm | Sugo

5 courses of chocolate-inspired cuisine? Yes, please! Feast on roasted eggplant, fresh scallops, smoked duck breast, elk tenderloin and mille feuille, with each course paired perfectly with a French wine. A can’t-go-wrong Valentine’s Day gift for the lover in your life…even if that lover is yourself! $89

VINO Y AMOR

Thursday, February 9 | 6:30pm | Parker’s on Ponce

Celebrate wine and love with a 6-course chef-prepared dinner for you and your sweetheart. Courses will feature a variety of wild game, with each plate paired with a complimentary Portuguese or Spanish wine. $75

QUEEN OF HEARTS MAD HATTER TEA BRUNCH

Saturday, February 11 | 11am-1pm | Tipple + Rose Tea Parlor & Apothecary

Any reason to get dressed up like the Queen of Hearts or the Mad Hatter is a good enough reason for us! On Saturday the 11th it’s time for high tea (pun intended) at Tipple + Rose. Fried chicken on “magic” buttermilk biscuits, red velvet and raspberry macarons, all the tea you can drink, and plenty of laughs. Email [email protected] for reservations. 

SOUTHERN BEER TOURS

Saturday, February 11 | Taco Mac (Lindbergh)

Brewery tours abound! Hit up three of Atlanta’s coolest craft breweries: SweetWater Brewing Company, Red Brick Brewing and Monday Night Brewing. $65 includes transportation to and from Buckhead, admission to each brewery, beer tastings galore and a gift bag.

And after the tour, if you have a little case of the munchies, grab a seat at Taco Mac and feast on our favorites: Queso con Carne, roasted buffalo wings (because you just have to), and the bacon-cheddar-ranch burger. 

OYSTERFEST 2017

Saturday, February 11 | 1:00pm | Park Tavern

Did you know that oysters are an aphrodisiac? Get shucked on Saturday the 11th at Spiral Entertainment’s annual Oysterfest. Live music, cold beer and plenty of oysters prepared every which way. FOXERIA DEL SOL

Sunday, February 12 | 5:30pm | Taqueria del Sol

When Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q and Taqueria del Sol collaborate on something, y’all better be there…and y’all better be hungry! Enjoy appetizers, cocktails, and a four course meal, all to raise money for the families of children who are receiving treatment for pediatric brain cancer. Tickets are $95 and worth every single penny. 

VALENTINE’S DINNER & DESSERT TASTING

Sunday, February 12 | 7:30pm | Osteria Mattone

Date night awaits at Osteria Mattone, where you and your Valentine will enjoy a prix fixe dinner ($70) or dessert menu ($125). Think sun choke soup, roasted duck, truffled jus, spumoni, and dark chocolate mousse, all in the name of love! Seating is available at 7:30pm and 9pm.

Even without the prix fixe menu, Osteria Mattone is still one of our staff’s favorite Italian joints in Metro Atlanta. Take a mid-day break and grab a Piada for lunch. Thank us later.
