The Atlanta dining scene has never been hotter! See what’s new all around town in our latest round-up of ATL’s newest dining and drinking destinations.
4650 Hugh Howell Rd STE 670, Tucker, GA 30084
This Tucker gem got its start as a pop-up all around town, and now they’ve got their very own brick and mortar location! At their pop-ups, we’ve loved their skewers and bulgogi quesadilla, and they’ve added Korean Fried Chicken to the menu!
2. Cafe 1933
1100 Peachtree St NE Ste 110 Atlanta, GA 30309
While upon first thought the 1930s may conjure up other historical events, Cafe 1933 chose to name their restaurant Cafe 1933 as a nod to the year that repealed Prohibition. They describe themselves as farm to table with high and low brow food combinations using classic French cooking techniques. The interiors are adorned with graphic murals and a casual yet sexy, moody vibe. They’re open for lunch and dinner, and they have a weekend brunch with a venison benedict and Buford Hwy Smash Burger featuring gochujang sauce and nori. And of course, you’ll be able to find craft cocktails. Give this new spot a try!
225 Reformation Pkwy Suite 300, Canton, GA 30114
Canton has a new comfy and casual burger spot with Community Burger, at the very cool comfy and casual hangout spot The Mill. Expect great burgers, delicious shakes, and innovative “tots” that are seriously good!
39 Georgia Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30312
The folks behind the much awaited D Boca N Boca (an Atlanta Eats favorite meal of the year in 2019) got their start doing pop-ups all around Atlanta serving up some seriously craveworthy street tacos. Now they’ve finally opened up their brick-and-mortar location serving up their delicious tacos and much more! Dig into their whole fried snapper or indulge in some churros. The prices are definitely on the high side so be aware of that.
5. Just Brunch
1950 Satellite Blvd Suite 400, Duluth, GA 30097
We are OBSESSED with this Duluth soul food spot. The interiors are a gorgeous colorful explosion and worth the trip for that alone, but the food is also next level good. You can’t go wrong with the Waffle Stack which consists of Korean Fried Chicken topped with collard greens and sandwiched in between two cornbread waffles.
3162 Piedmont Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305
We’re not sure if it’s the Instagram effect or what, but every new restaurant these days is throwing out all the stops when it comes to decor and ambiance. Knife follows along that same vein.
7. Palo Santo
955 West Marietta St NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
Palo Santo has the kind of atmosphere where you just ask yourself, “Wait, where are we?!” At nighttime, the rooftop patio with its house music is much more reminiscent of a breezy nightclub in Mykonos than it is of anything Atlanta. The patio is super small on the roof, but it’s great for a drink date. If you want a full meal, make a reservation for dinner downstairs and enjoy their high-end, modern Mexican cuisine. Parking is valet only.
2317 Cascade Rd, Atlanta, GA 30311
A new venture from talented chef Deborah VanTrece, Serenidad is her bold foray into Latin soul food. She infuses flavors from the South with traditional dishes from the Caribbean and Latin America. Expect fusion items like duck fat tamales and paella grits. Make a resy today!
35 Milton Ave, Alpharetta, GA 30009
Alpharetta has a new Italian spot located in the Hamilton Hotel, and it’s lovely! Dig into dishes like their pear and tarragon cacio e pepe, lamb pillow ravioli, veal meatballs, and fried artichoke hearts. The interiors are light, airy and beautiful. Street parking is a bear, so bring cash for valet or use the parking garage a block or so away.
10. Tortuga & Chango
910 W College Ave, Decatur, GA 30030
Mezacal lovers, rejoice! Owners Alan Raines and Samantha Eaves are bringing delicious Oaxacan and Mexican coastal flavors to Decatur, all designed to complement the mezcal cocktails and spirits they have available. The restaurant is small and intimate with a neighborhood type feel. Give this place a go, your taste buds will thank you!
725 Echo Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
Has anyone else noticed that West Midtown has a weirdly huge amount of car repair shops? Well, it now has a three less, because Westside Motor Lounge has transformed three of them into a really stunning indoor/outdoor eatertainment experience. There’s event space, a game room, a music stage, beer garden, fire pits, and more to enjoy!

12. Wylie & Rum
45 Moreland Ave SE Ste 200 300 Atlanta, GA 30316
This place is so cute and so good! The interiors are spacious and super colorful with tons of tiki drinks to choose from. The portions are great, and the menu has so much deliciousness to choose from. The flavors are definitely Caribbean inspired, though if you’re expecting an on-the-nose interpretation of Carribean dishes you may be left a little wanting. Plus, on Wednesdays their rum punch is $5!
13. Your 3rd Spot
400 Chattahoochee Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
Atlanta’s newest space to eat and play is now open! Your 3rd Spot boasts nearly 30,000 square feet for you to socialize, mingle, and just be yourself.
