These local restaurants are in need of your support now more than ever, and you can order delivery or takeout from them–whichever option you feel most comfortable with. Support local!

1. The Flying Biscuit Cafe

After the time we’ve had, we probably all need an XXL order of the creamy dreamy grits from the Flying Biscuit. Actually, make that an XXXXXXXXXXXL order. If you are team #SummerBodIsCancelled, anyway, and team #Quarantine15 like we are, you should know that the Flying Biscuit Cafe is offering to-go service at their restaurants, but they are also available on most delivery apps.

2. J. Christopher’s

We’re missing brunch with our friends and family more than ever these days, but the good news is we can still brunch at home.  Some locations are closed right now, but many are open and offering takeout. They’re also on a lot of delivery apps including DoorDash and UberEats. A stack of their blueberry crunchcakes is exactly the moodbooster that’s needed right now! Find current store information here, and find their takeout menu here.

3. Olde Blind Dog

There’s nothing like good comforting tavern and pub food in times of stress. Pot roast, bangers and mash, buffalo chicken sandwiches, clam chowder–we need it all. Available for pickup and delivery at their Milton and Brookhaven locations!

Hawkers - Mie Goreng Noodles

4. Hawkers

We can’t wait for better days visiting all our favorite restaurants on the Beltline, but today we can still get Hawker’s Asian street food delivered straight to our homes. Enjoy FREE delivery at www.EatHawkers.com. Bonus–they’re also offering 50% off for service workers.

5. Tower Beer Wine & Spirits

Has there ever been a better time to learn how to make a stiff drink? Experiment with a little mixology at home from Tower’s curbside pickup. Bonus: we’ve got plenty of cocktail recipe videos on our YouTube channel for you to have fun with! Follow them on Instagram for plenty of updates on offerings.

Waffle House - Hashbrowns

6. Waffle House

Support the servers and cooks at your favorite local Waffle House by ordering a pick-up order. You also might as well get double the waffles you normally do since that swimsuit you bought for spring break isn’t going to get put to use anytime soon. However you take your hashbrowns–smothered, covered, chunked, or plain–Waffle House has got your back.

Not in the mood for delivery? Consider instead making a donation to the Giving Kitchen, a local nonprofit that provides financial assistance to food workers experiencing hardship due to an unexpected illness (including COVID-19), injury, death of an immediate family member or housing disaster in Georgia.

Food service workers in Georgia who have been diagnosed with an illness that requires them to “miss work” (including but not limited to COVID-19) or those who are under verifiable orders for a mandatory quarantine can visit GK’s: ASK FOR HELP page to log their request for assistance.
