7 Atlanta Restaurants And Bars With Absolutely Breathtaking Views

Whether you’re looking for a meal on the bucolic Chattahoochee River or cocktails 10 stories high overlooking all of Atlanta, you’ll be impressed with our list on Atlanta’s top restaurants for breathtaking views.

1. 9 Mile Station

Ponce City Market, 1829, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30308

Right atop Atlanta’s most popular tourist destination lies one of the most beautiful views of the city. End or begin any trip to Ponce City Market with a ride to the rooftop and a meal at 9 Mile Station. Pro tip: make a reservation to avoid the $15 rooftop entrance fee–though there is a $25 minimum spend per person at the restaurant–and you can enjoy the games and drinks outside the restaurant on the rooftop afterwards.

2. Canoe

4199 Paces Ferry Rd SE, Atlanta, GA 30339

You don’t last 20+ years in Atlanta’s competitive restaurant scene without doing almost everything right. And while trendy newcomers come and go, Canoe has rightfully taken its place as one of Atlanta’s most beloved restaurants. Typically when a place has great ambiance or a beautiful view, the restaurant’s food may only be so so, but Canoe is one of the select few places where the food is so damn good the lush gardens and bucolic view of the Chattahoochee River are almost an afterthought. Hundreds of proposals have occured right along the banks of the river here. Go there for brunch and get the pastry basket!

3. Drawbar

1 Interlock Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30318

Right atop the new Bellyard Hotel in West Midtown sits Drawbar, an excellent choice for pre-dinner or post-dinner drinks! The outside terrace/rooftop on the third floor is the perfect place to lounge, and there’s bites like garlic truffle parmesan frites if you’re feeling snack-y. It’s a must visit if you’re in the area, and would also be a great idea for a first date

4. Ray’s On The River

6700 Powers Ferry Rd NW, Sandy Springs, GA 30339

Ray’s on the River in Sandy Springs brings a fine-dining touch to a tranquil corner of the city. Whether you’re celebrating a wedding anniversary or just stopping by for Sunday brunch next to the river, Ray’s menu includes affordably priced but fabulous eats, so whatever your reason for stopping by, your wallet will feel less stretched than your belly.

5. Six Feet Under

Multiple Locations

Six Feet Under is your best bet in Atlanta for baskets and baskets of great fried seafood, hushpuppies, and crispy fries. Both their Grant Park and West Midtown locations have some of Atlanta’s best rooftop patios and beautiful views, though if we had to pick one we would say West Midtown’s view is a little prettier.

6. Spaceman

3301 Lenox Pkwy Atlanta, GA 30326

This hotel bar atop the Hyatt is brand new to Atlanta, but deserves a spot on the list for all the breathtaking views it offers of Atlanta from almost every direction. The interiors are sexy and chic, and it’s sure to be the new happening spot for the Buckhead crowd with all the warm spring weather coming up.

7. St. Julep

374 East Paces Ferry Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305

It’s no secret we love this spot! It’s a smaller bar atop the Hotel Kimpton Sylvan perfect for a date, post work drink, or pre-dinner cocktail. The bar and patio is small but not too small, the drinks are delicious, and the views are immaculate. Just stand on their terrace and take a look out over the city, and you may just have to pinch yourself to make sure you’re not dreaming. It’ll make you feel like Atlanta is truly one of the best cities in the world.
