Our Sandy Springs Neighborhood Restaurant Guide

Thought you had to venture into Buckhead or Old Fourth Ward for great cuisine? Think again. What was once just a sleepy residential restaurant deadzone is now shaping up to be a food destination in and of itself. Here are some can’t miss top eats in the area! Restaurants are listed in alphabetical order.

1. Bishoku

5920 Roswell Rd, Sandy Springs, GA 30328

For a fabulous and quiet meal at a sushi spot with neighborhood and family-owned vibes, Bishoku is  just the ticket. The service is always on point, and the chefs are always cooking up something special you’re not going to be able to resist trying. They’ll often bring you a complimentary dessert of appetizer, making every trip to Bishoku special.

2. Breadwinner

220 Sandy Springs Cir, Sandy Springs, GA 30328

Everything at Breadwinner is absolutely delicious. The creamy soups, fresh seasonal salads, hearty sandwiches, and mouthwatering baked goods (like their pumpkin bread—total yum) are all delicious. The turkey chili and tomato basil bisques are always winner, and the lunch combo is a steal. They’re now open for dinner service as well, and even have a second Dunwoody location too!

 

3. C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar

C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar in Sandy Springs and Vinings has a huge variety of seafood, a bar that everyone is talking about and service that is second to none.  With the best seafood imported from regions throughout the United States, there’s plenty of options to choose from.  Between their seafood tower with oysters and tuna tartare, their shellfish platter, incredible bourbon selection, cocktails like the filthy old fashioned and more, you’ll leave every meal at C&S full and satisfied.  

4. Casi Cielo

6125 Roswell Rd STE 200, Atlanta, GA 30328

Casi Cielo is really a fabulous addition to the Sandy Springs area. They take Mexican and Oaxacan cuisine and elevate it to a whole new level, and the service is always fantastic. They’ve also got a great selection of tequila and all their blue corn tortillas are handmade the traditional way. Visit them for your next date night or girls’ night!

5. Cibo E Beve

This neighborhood spot is perfect for girls’ nights, date night, and family dinner nights alike. Chefs Gianni Betti and Linda Harrell are the brains behind this operation, bringing their decades of culinary experience and time spent working in Italian restaurants to the Sandy Springs neighborhood. Their lobster spaghetti and meatball appetizer are can’t miss dishes, and their menu tastes great for takeout and delivery!

6. Clay’s Sports Cafe

You can’t talk wings without talking Clay’s. And that in and of itself is a huge achievement considering how big a of a wing town ATL is! For wings that are craveworthingly crispy and sauced to perfection, Clay’s Sports Cafe in Sandy Springs is an excellent choice. The prices are affordable, especially for the neighborhood, and we love the local neighborhood bar/restaurant feel of the place.

7. Cupanion’s

This North Buckhead/Sandy Springs spot has a loyal following. The menu and the restaurant are small but mighty, with a root hash that has a bright and acidic pesto that’s to die for, as well as an oh so savory cowboy brisket benedict with cornbread. Sit outside on their sizeable patio to enjoy your meal!

8. Emidio’s

You’ll have to come to Sandy Springs if it’s Portuguese food you’re craving. Dig into Portuguese style clams, lamb, and seafood pastas at this hidden gem in north Sandy Springs. They even have pastel de natal, a totally addicting egg custard tart that’s also Portugal’s national dessert.

9. Flower Child

For some cuisine that’s on the lighter side, Flower Child is always a great bet. Their Mother Earth bowl will fill you up with great greens every time, and their salads fresh and tasty. Top your dishes with their always perfectly cooked salmon or steak for a little extra protein. Available for dine-in, patio dining, and pick-up at this time.

This much loved Emory Point Jewish Deli has opened up a second, beautiful, light and bright location in Sandy Springs. With great burgers, pastrami, bagels, and matzoh ball soup, there’s something for everyone. They also have brunch and dinner service. The pecan crusted french toast is a must! 

Il Giallo – Octopus

11. Il Giallo

A fabulous octopus appetizer, creamy gnocchi dish, and croissant bread pudding that melts in your mouth all are on the menu at Italian mainstay Il Giallo. Chef Jamie Adams, also the chef behind hot Chamblee spot, Lagarde American Eatery, is the force behind this venture. You can watch their handmade pasta made fresh daily in their open kitchen. Available for dine-in, patio dining, and takeout at this time.

12. JINYA Ramen Bar

There’s a new ramen spot popping up every minute around Atlanta, but JINYA brings us back time and time again. Their vegan ramen is perfectly creamy, and their sprouting up ramen is fantastic for brussel sprouts lovers. And don’t forget about their apps and small bites—the bao buns and the truffle oil brussel sprouts are perfectly tasty treats.

13. Kaiser’s Chophouse

5975 Roswell Rd Ste b-201 Sandy Springs, GA 30328

There’s no shortage of fine steakhouses all across Metro Atlanta, and Kaiser Chophouse certainly should be included in any steakhouse conversation because what they’re doing is impeccable. Expect all your steakhouse favorites: fried lobster tails, a perfect medium-rare steak, veal chop… But also, their burger is a favorite of our host, Steak Shapiro, and they’ve got a great bolognese. Go figure!

14. Kid Cashew

Brand new to Sandy Springs, Kid Cashew has an eclectic menu of small plates/tapas, burgers, healthy salads, and wood-fired grilled meats to fit every fancy. Their patio is also perfect for those warm Atlanta days. 

15. NAM Kitchen

6400 Blue Stone Rd, Sandy Springs, GA 30328

It’s Vietnamese at its best! NAM Kitchen has a chic atmosphere, flavorful Vietnamese fare, and expansive wine menu as well as wine bottles for sale that makes this place perfect for a girls’ or date night. Their banh mi is flavor on a whole new level and their pork chop and sauteed filet mignon are equally as fabulous.

16. Okiboru Tsukemen & Ramen

Okiboru is brand new the dining scene, but their famed ramen has made awards lists everywhere and even been recognized by the Michelin guidebook. Give their tonkotsu black ramen a try, and don’t skip out on their garlic nori fries. Open for dine-in and delivery!

17. Rumi’s Kitchen

Never tried Persian food? Take a chance and try this amazing cuisine that’s full of comfort and delicious grilled meats, fragrant saffron, and fruits such as dates and pomegranates. Our favorite dishes at Rumi’s include their stewed eggplant dishes such as the Mirza Ghasem and Kashk Badenjoon, but their lamb kabob and lamb shank are also top notch. Open for dine-in and takeout!.

18. The Select

With interiors that are as jaw-dropping and instagrammable as their food, The Select has been a new welcome gem to Atlanta that’s perfect for cocktails, date night, or just to catch up with friends. And something new to look forward to at The Select? Their expansive brunch menu–from the fried oyster polenta to the eggs benedict to their cinnamon roll, it’s all so dang good.

19. Under the Cork Tree

We love the cozy vibes and tapas flavors at Under the Cork Tree–perfect for a date night. They’ve got a wonderful patio, too, with heat lamps in the colder months, and their seafood paella is always tasty.
