Best Thing We Ate Last Week

BTWATW_Blog1c

You could say it’s always a feeding frenzy at Atlanta Eats’ HQ, but to us it’s just another hard day’s work. We’re sharing the best things we ate last week to give you some food inspiration for the week ahead. Check out AtlantaEatsTv oInstagramFacebook, and Twitter for a constant stream of pictures if this doesn’t quite cure your food porn fix…

Maharaja Lamb Burger and Thali from Chai Pani (Decatur)

Chai Pani brings immense beauty and flavor to each of their Indian dishes. The location is bright, cheery and provides a well-rounded dining experience! I have yet to try every dish on their menu, but two items I continuously crave are their Thali and lamb sliders. Thali includes basmati rice, daal, sabji, raita, roti, kachumber, papadum and dessert! You can order a vegetarian or non-vegetarian version. As for the lamb sliders, they are seasoned with ginger, garlic, mint, ground pistachio, and house roasted spices. The buns they serve are chewy and sweet, topped with chutneys and pickled onions. Step out of the box and find out what mindblasting Indian street food is all about! (PS- look out for Chai Pani’s segment on Atlanta Eats this Sunday at 10:30a.m.)

Falafel Bowl from Yalla (Krog Street Market)

This bowl looks healthy so we’re just going to assume it is. Yalla does a fabulous job with the presentation of this falafel bowl plated with hummus, labne, Israeli salad, pickles, zhug, tahini and herbs…in other words an extraordinary combination of high flavor ingredients. Once you try it, Yalla will added to your restaurant rotation. They even deliver via Postmates- aka perfect for an indulgent lunch in the office!

Latte from Octane Coffee (Midtown)

Latte art may seem so overdone it’s now cliché, but we can assure you, Octane keeps it unconventional. There is nothing basic about these coffee aficionados. Their lattes brighten your morning with a pinch of pretty and a white lightening coffee keeps you wired to take on the day ahead. Get there before 10 a.m. for an assortment of breakfast sandwiches!
