Best Things We Ate Last Week

BTWATW_Blog1c

You could say it’s always a feeding frenzy at Atlanta Eats’ HQ, but to us it’s just another hard day’s work. We’re sharing the best things we ate last week to give you some food inspiration for the week ahead. Check out AtlantaEatsTV oInstagramFacebook, and Twitter for a constant stream of pictures if this doesn’t quite cure your food porn fix…

Bahn Mi Shrimp Tacos from Bartaco (West Midtown)

The perfect bite in this cheery spring weather is a Bahn Mi Shrimp Taco from Bartaco. With locations in Buckhead and West Midtown, you can’t go wrong. The freshness of the jicama, jalapeno, carrot and cilantro places over grilled shrimp and wrapped in a corn “bean blankie” (if you’re a Parks & Recreation fan, you understand this…) makes for a pleasantly spicy and healthy concoction. Our compliments to the chef on this one.

Easter Cookies from Corner Cafe (Buckhead)

If you’re ever in the market for holiday-themed foods, hop on over to Corner Café at the corner of Piedmont and East Paces Ferry. They’re always cooking up desserts to suit any occasion. For Easter, they debuted hot-cross buns, coconut macaroons and sugar cookies shaped like bunnies, eggs and tulips. No matter which baked good you choose, there is no wrong decision to be made at this busy bakery.

Dessert Quartet from 1Kept (Buckhead)

For a platter that leaves you speechless, take a seat at 1Kept. You will be full from courses of elegantly plated dishes like their gnocchi, flatbreads and pimento cheese boards but you must push through to the final round of your meal- dessert. Our quartet consisted of a slice of pecan pie, S’mores in a jar (which tasted like S’mores crème brûlée), banana pudding and a jar of something caramel-y that definitely set us into a sugar coma of happiness.
