Best Things We Ate Last Week

btwalw_600x400

One could say it’s always a feeding frenzy at Atlanta Eats’ HQ, but to us, it’s just another hard day at work. We’re showcasing the best things we ate last week to give you some food inspiration for the week ahead. Check out AtlantaEatsTV on InstagramFacebook, and Twitter for a constant stream of food porn if this post doesn’t quite cure your fix.

Cape Sante Spiedini from Fritti (Inman Park)

Just off of North Highland, Fritti has taken the spotlight when it comes to top-notch Italiano. Eating healthy can be a challenge when chowing down on Italian, but leave it to Fritti to give us all the options we deserve. The Cape Sante Spiedini starts out with garden greens, cherry tomatoes, and seared scallops. But, if you’re feeling ravenous, you can always throw on a skewer of grilled shrimp atop the garden greens. It’s like a mini seafood extravaganza!

Morcilla and Mushroom Toast from Iberian Pig (Decatur)

Whether or not tapas should be shared among friends is still up for debate. That being said, you will not want to share tapas prepped by The Iberian Pig. Marked by a colorful presentation, the Morcilla & Mushroom Toast is almost too pretty to eat (keyword: almost). Toasting the rustic bread sets the stage for the perfect tapa. Topped with seared sausage, roasted wild mushrooms, blackberry gastrique & the artistically drizzled Mahón sauce, this plate is a welcome one for hungry eyes!

Chicken Sandwich from Osteria Mattone (Roswell)

Osteria Mattone offers some seriously great options. One of our favorites is the classic Chicken Sandwich that has a punch of color and protein. Expertly grilled chicken is wrapped up tight in house made focaccia bread along with fresh tomatoes, pancetta, and creamy Robiola spread. Using only the freshest ingredients, Osteria Mattone prides itself on exceptional dishes, & the Chicken Sandwich absolutely falls under this category.
