Here We Go Vegan – Mara Joins the Bert Show to Talk ATL’s Best Vegan and Vegetarian Restaurants
Whether it’s Vegan burgers or a balanced meal after a workout, Atlantans are trying Vegan and Vegetarian dishes regardless of their regular eating habits. Mara joined the Bert Show recently to talk about some of Atlanta’s best Vegan and Vegetarian options!
“I’ve been getting a lot of requests from the Bert Show fam for restaurants that are vegetarian and vegan…here’s a couple of ideas of where you can eat vegetarian and vegan and try it. The place that everyone is talking about is Slutty Vegan! It’s provocative…it started off as a food truck. When they opened on the West End, people were waiting in line – like, a thousand people showed up to this. They have all kinds of…vegan shrimp, vegan Philly cheese, they’ve got a Philly cheesesteak that’s vegan. All the sandwiches come with fries and a pickle. People are just raving about it.”
“There’s the impossible burger, which you may see at places like Yeah Burger or places like Hampton + Hudson which you can see on our show. It’s made to look like a real burger, it’s juicy….it’s good, it’s tasty and it’s come a long way from the early days of the veggie burger.”
