691 14th St NW
Atlanta, GA 30318
(404) 996-2623
Cooks and Soldiers brings a Basque approach to the entire menu, and that certainly doesn’t stop with their grilled cheese sandwich. They serve what they call the “Bikini” – white American grilled cheese, jamon iberico, black truffle, white bread – an upscale, European take on the classic.

LottaFrutta
590 Auburn Ave NE
Atlanta, GA 30312
(404) 588-0857
This charming house/storefront in Old Fourth Ward is a Latin inspired salad, smoothie and sandwich shop, so you know when they make a grilled cheese, they aren’t doing it the way you and I understand a grilled cheese. Instead of butter and pan, they use a sandwich press to get a crusty outside and an gooey inside, including in their Quest Quartet sandwich – a medley of four cheeses pressed into sweet latin bread, with your choice of veggies to go inside.
