Mara Davis Joins the Bert Show to Talk Dinner and a Movie

Delicious chicken available at Tuk Tuk near Atlantic Station

Who doesn’t love a good dinner and a movie? Mara Davis joined the Bert Show recently to dish on some of her favorite restaurants near metro Atlanta movie theatres, talk Oscars (this episode was recorded before the Oscar airing on Sunday), and more.

“If you’re going to Phipps Plaza, Genuine Pizza, True Food Kitchen….Bhojanic is one of my favorites, it’s right across the street – great Indian food. If you want to do it decadent, you can go to St. Cecilia.”

“Atlantic Station has a lot of great restaurants, but I like some of the restaurants around there like Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft…it’s one of my favorites, it’s up on the rooftop, there’s a great view…”

“The Tara theatre, which shows a lot more of the art house movies, a great suggestion would be Taqueria Del Sol. It’s right up the street…I believe it’s their second location….”

“Also, you have Avalon and there’s so many restaurants there to choose from. You’ve got El Felix, Bocado Burger, Antico Pizza….”

“The Studio Movie Grill, there are a couple of locations where you can actually eat while you’re watching the movie…I love that they serve potato skins. I think potato skins are a total classic. Bring back potato skins from the 80’s – cheese, bacon the whole thing. I think the low carb craze killed the baked potato and the potato skin. I say Bring it Back!”
