Where To Get Your Nashville Hot Chicken Fix in Atlanta

There’s no denying that Atlanta is a city obsessed with fried chicken, so it’s a thrill that the Nashville hot chicken trend has taken ATL by storm to add another flavor to our palettes. Here are some fantastic places around town to get your fix. Restaurants listed below in alphabetical order.

Argosy

For spicy, tender, juicy, and flavorful hot chicken on a buttery bun, head to East Atlanta’s Argosy. We love that their kitchen’s open late, and their wood-fired pizzas are fantastic as well.

Beetlecat

It may sound wrong but it tastes soooo right: a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich but with two glazed donuts as the buns plus a fried egg. Inman Park’s Beetlecat is responsible for this brunch-strosity, and while you may know them for mouthwatering seafood, their decadent donut brunch is absolutely something you don’t want to sleep on. They’re seriously delicious and the perfect cheat meal

Hampton & Hudson

Restaurateur Billy Streck can do no wrong. From the awesome neighboorhood bar vibes he’s got going on at Cypress to the fantastic Detroit style pies at Nina & Rafi to the tavern food at Hampton & Hudson, everything he does is just restaurnat gold. And the Nashville hot chicken sliders at Hampton & Hudson are fantastic too, with a perfect crunch and side of. Get them

Hattie B’s Hot Chicken

There’s a lot to love about Nashville, but we’re really glad to be able to not have to make the drive to Tennessee because we can now grab a Nashville style bird any time we want at Hattie B’s Hot Chicken. Their hot chicken’s got a little less kick to it than other spots–unless you get the “Shut the Cluck Up!!” of course–and if you really can’t do spicy, they can do Southern too without any heat.

Helen’s Hot Chicken

New to downtown is a hole-in-the-wall kinda spot with some great hot chicken and waffles. Helen’s Hot Chicken recently opened up after getting their humble beginnings in a small trailer off the side of the road in Nashville. Something else not to be missed? Their catfish filet. It’s perfectly crispy and delicious!

Joella’s Hot Chicken

We love the chicken tenders at Joella’s Hot Chicken, although they also have bone-in chicken and even a vegan chicken for your vegan friends. They’ve got a fast casual, family friendly vibe and addicting fried chicken that varies from “Southern” to “Fire In Da-Hole.”

Ladybird

Name a better patio in Atlanta–we’ll wait. We love Ladybird’s Beltline backyard campout vibes, cocktails, and unfussy menu of New American favorites. Their Nashville hot chicken sandwich and Nashville hot chicken biscuits are not too spicy but full of flavor that’ll please any hot chicken lover.

Scoville Hot Chicken

Brand new to Atlanta/Sandy Springs, Scoville Hot Chicken is already making their mark on our palettes. They’ve got just one thing on their menu so you know they’re not playing around: a hot chicken sandwich that comes in chill, medium, hot, extra hot, and reaper. Their “hot” has plenty of kick, but if you’re a glutton for punishment then you should try out their reaper challenge.
