Make moNYE moves on New Year’s Eve
What are you up to this New Year’s Eve? Well put on your red bottoms, pump up the Cardi B and get ready to celebrate 2017 in style with our guide to New Years Eve. Even if your New Year’s resolution isn’t to eat good food all year round, it can be now. Here are four places in Atlanta with great menus this NYE, so be sure to get a reservation and get your drink on.
Alma Cocina and Atlanta’s Annual Peach Drop
The peach is pop, lock and dropping this year at Woodruff Park. But before you watch the 800 lb. fruit descend from the sky, you definitely need food and refreshments – Alma Cocina is a great bet. It’s only a 10-minute walk from the restaurant to the park so you can enjoy contemporary Mexican cuisine right before ringing in the new year. For reservations, click here.
New Beer’s Eve
Front Page News and Tijuana Garage are having a New Year’s Eve celebration that has sold out for the past 5 years (that’s how popular it is). When you purchase a ticket, it includes an appetizer buffet, well liquor drinks, house wine and over 40 beer choices (posted prior to the event). If you’re feeling really fancy you can order premium liquor and shots for an upcharge. So if you want to join the fun from 9PM – 1AM click here.
Cape Dutch
Fine dining is a great start to 2018 and Cape Dutch has Executive Chef Philippe Haddad preparing a prix-fixe menu that will end your 2017 with sophistication and flavor. Dinner reservations can be made from 5:30- 10:30 PM and after the food comes the party (and after the party comes the after party and…you’ll have to do that somewhere else, the party here ends shortly after midnight). The DJ will start at 10:30 PM and you can get your groove on until midnight, when there will be a Boschendal Brut Rosé toast to ring in the new year. 10 Degrees South
If you want to celebrate your New Year’s Eve with delicious overseas flavor, then 10 Degrees South is the place for you. Delicious South African plates will be served up on two prix-fixe menus that include some signature favorites. From 5-7 PM it will be $70 per person and from 7-10 PM it will be $95 per person, with a more expansive menu. Reservations here.
