Steak Nachos at Red Pepper Taqueria
Cinco de Mayo fell on Monday this week, so obviously we had to get our Tex-Mex on. The team headed to the Buckhead outpost for Red Pepper Taqueria, to dive into some nachos. Now, there are a lot of nachos in this town. But these are something special. Red Pepper makes steak nachos capable of waking you up in the middle of the night with a craving. If you haven’t been, go. Now.
Grit Tots at The Pinewood
On Tuesday, The Pinewood celebrated two years in business. So, of course we hot footed it to Decatur to raise a glass in celebration. It didn’t hurt that one of the best bar snacks in Atlanta was on the menu as well. They’re cheesy, they’re salty, they’re amazing.
DaVinci’s Donuts at Taste of Alpharetta
This year’s Taste of Alpharetta was emceed by our very own Mara Davis. With dozens of booths serving up fare, this is the one that caught her eye. DaVinci’s is located right on Main Street in Alpharetta and serves up cake style donuts that are hand dipped. Want sprinkles? They got em! Want Oreos on top of that donut? You know it! Definitely some drive-worthy treats.
Yellowtail Jalapeño Shots at Sushi One +
We know, we know, Mom says you are not supposed to play with your food. But we are so grateful that the guys at The Sushi One + decided to skip that lesson. This is a sushi spot that has fun. And you can definitely see that with the Yellowtail Jalapeño Shots with cilantro, Sriracha, radishes, balsamic and honey yuzu. They come in little shot glasses and that’s how you take them. A little sweet, a little spicy; you’ll be wanting a several rounds for the table.
