Collier Candy Company wants you to travel back in time at their candy shop and it’s not hard to, with favorites like candy buttons and necklaces, along with Boylan Bottling Co’s classic sodas. They really excel at keeping the classic candies stocked – everything from Charleston Chews to Abba-Zabas to Airheads. The next time you’re strolling around Ponce, you’ve gotta stop by for a candy classic.

This event space/candy shop in downtown ATL is convinced they can make your next child’s birthday party or grown up get together really sweet. They’ve got killer cake pops, chocolates and other stuff made in-house along with delicious imported gummies, chocolates and more.

Emory students and Decatur residents are very familiar with Greene’s, a longstanding iconic location in downtown Decatur. A family owned store for decades, Greene’s specializes in candied pecans – you can get every sweet and savory pecan flavor possible – Bourbon, Key Lime, Sweet Heat, Cinnamon and more. They’ve also got incredible chocolate pecan clusters, turtles, log rolls and other Southern sweets. With their iconic logo and great packaging, everyone loves at gift box from Greene’s around the holidays or for a special occasion.

This Atlantic Station store may only have one location in Atlanta, but it has a national footprint, which is a good thing – they source some of the craziest candies you can find. If your gustatory preferences lean towards gummies, you can’t find a better place for novelty shaped gummies – everything from gummy hot dogs, to gummy pickles, gummy pizza and more. If you have a friend with a sweet tooth, they have some pretty sweet – and funny – options. Get a giant 3lb gummy worm or a cereal box full of gummy bears and gummy worms, gift boxes with special candy from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, Japanese imported candy and more.

Haven’t been to Kilwin’s? Well, you better fudge around and find out. Kilwin’s started as a Michigan based candy shop in the 40’s and has grown to multiple stores around the US today. They have 5 locations throughout metro Atlanta, and at every single one of them you can find Kilwin’s incredible caramels, fudge flavors and chocolate covered confections. They’ve also got delicious caramel apples and ice cream, along with house made marshmallows. Basically they’re a nostalgia candy store that goes back before the 60’s and 70’s technicolor candy craze.

Another national candy shop with two stores in Atlanta malls – Perimeter and Northpoint – Lolli and Pops takes a higher brow approach to candy classics. Get favorites like son caps, chocolate covered pretzels, gummies, jawbreakers and more in stylish gift boxes that look like something from Tiffany and Co. They also make the increasingly popular French cookie-treat Macarons. Order a box of Macarons along with their prepackaged gift boxes like the Magical Unicorn or Pamper Party for a sweet addition to your next event.

This Kirkwood candy shop is a neighborhood favorite, and can give you a little something savory to go with your sweet – gourmet popcorn made in-house! Poppa Corn’s may have the most popcorn flavors this writer has ever seen – everything from loaded potato to lemon pepper along with sweeter flavors like cheesecake and cherry. But back to the candy – they’ve got a great selection of classic candies like necco wafers, astro pops, and every flavor of jelly belly you can think of, including this writer’s favorite – Dr. Pepper!

Rocket Fizz is another candy shop that leans heavily in to nostalgia, and it’s hard not to in the small town charm of Marietta Square. What makes Rocket Fizz stand out from other candy shops is its impressive selection of sodas. Find seasonal sodas like Pumpkin Spice and Candy Cane, dozens of different root beers, and straight up strange sodas like Blueberry Pie, Black Olive, and Enchilada(!). They also make some sodas in-house, like a Fruit Punch soda that’s delicious. When it comes to candy, they’ve got a great selection of gummies (including an actual pizza sized giant gummy box), classic candies, and hard to find imports from Asia.

Krog Street Market – 99 Krog St NE UNIT I

Krog Street market’s candy shop is Sweet Inman’s and like their counterparts at Ponce City Market’s Collier Candy Company, they’ve got some classic candy favorites including Now and Laters, Pop Rocks, Bottle Caps and candy Cigarettes! The space is beautifully designed and Instagram friendly for those giant lollipop shots. Also keep an eye out for new imports coming through the store, like Matcha Pocky and Chupa Chups.

Another downtown Atlanta based candy shop, Southern Candy Company really lives up to their name – you can find pralines, pecan logs and more southern sweets at Southern Candy Company. Try the Divinity, an old Southern sweet made by and – sugar, pecan, egg and real vanilla come together a light, sweet, fluffy treat. Dig in to freshly made brittle with peanut or pecan, candy apples dipped and decorated with a variety of flavors.
