The Best Places to Get Shabu Shabu in Atlanta

Shabu Shabu – it’s not just fun to say, it’s a great way to enjoy your food.  If you’ve had Chinese Hot Pot dinners, Shabu Shabu is similar – both feature meat, seafood and veggies in a delicious, bubbling broth.  But Shabu Shabu is a little more interactive.  You’re provided a plate of uncooked meat, veggies, dumplings, udon and more – it’s up to you to mix it exactly the way you want it.  With a number of incredible Asian restaurants around Atlanta’s Buford Highway, Duluth, Gwinnett and other enclaves, it’s time to let Shabu Shabu shine.

This classic Buckhead restaurant has been a place for parties and other special events for decades. But their best kept secret may be the “Shabu-Shabu” Fondue. The dish uses a Japanese “Kobe” broth and they bring out super thin slices of sirloin, along with tofu, noodles and seasonal veggies. Order the fondue for two the next time you visit Nakato.
