The Best Restaurants Around Lenox Mall

It’s a strange thought that a mall can become a landmark, but in Atlanta, Lenox Mall is iconic. With hotels dotting the area all around the mall, there’s a lot of great dining options for both out of towners and local ATL-iens. We’ve attempted to put together a list of the best places AROUND Lenox, for when the food court can’t cut it.  FYI – This doesn’t include some of the great options you can find across the street inside of Phipps Plaza (including Nobu and the newly opened Citizens Market Food Hall).

5Church in Buckhead is beautiful, bright and inviting both with their decor and their menu.  When it comes to the menu, specifically, it is made up of new American favorites, along with impressive steak options.  But where they may shine the most is during brunch.  It’s typically busy in their sunroom and a scene in the best way possible.  Try Buckhead’s best chicken and waffle dish or the eye rollingly sweet Banana French Toast with strawberry compote, candy almonds and a banana caramel sauce.

This classic French bistro has been making folks around Buckhead happy for decades.  With all of the french favorites you’d find in a Parisian brasserie, like melted raclette, foie gras, escargots, Steak Frites, coq a vin, beef bourguignon and more.  If the dining room is packed, you can always head to the bar for a bowl of french onion soup and a glass of great wine.

When it comes to sports bars around Lenox Mall, there’s none better than the Bucket Shop.  As an HQ for Auburn football fans, you can find a full patio every Saturday afternoon.  In between pitchers of beers, customers typically chow down on chicken egg rolls, burgers, sandwiches, sliders and more.  For Buckhead barflys, they also have a late night menu, served until 1:15 in the morning Monday – Saturday, where you can find a solid selection of their best dishes, including shrimp tacos, a philly cheesesteak, chicken wings and Reese’s peanut butter pie.

When it comes to fine dining near Lenox Mall, Ecco Buckhead is always an excellent option.  The second location of the famed Midtown restaurant known for bringing about Atlanta’s modern day culinary renaissance, they have many of the same classic dishes Ecco fans have been favoring for years.  Gobble up fried goat cheese, freshly made pappardelle pasta, Mille-Feuilles and more.

A place with as many hotels and business travelers as there are near Lenox should have a quality steakhouse nearby, and Del Frisco’s Grille delivers.  An outpost of the iconic Del Frisco’s in midtown Manhattan, Del Frisco’s Grilled provides the same award winning steakhouse dishes in a much more relaxed, but nonetheless upscale environment.  You can still order Del Frisco’s Signature Steaks, including Ribeye, New York Strip, and Filet Mignon, along with great burgers, pastas and seafood.

When it comes to your health, you won’t find a better option around Lenox than Flower Child. They focus on serving folks looking for vegetarian, vegan, paleo, sugar-free, dairy-free or gluten-free dishes that still taste delicious. Using all organic products, you can get delicious bowls like the Mother Earth bowl with ancient grains, sweet potato, mushrooms and more, or the chicken enchilada bowl with guajillo chile, smoked gouda and poblano crema. Add proteins like steak, chicken, salmon, shrimp and tofu to really make it a meal!

America’s first state has brings some of their best beer with Iron Hill Brewery. This Delaware based beer company focuses big on food and beer pairings, and with multiple locations in Delaware, Georgia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and South Carolina, they’re spreading their gastronomic gospel all around the country. Snack on beer inspired dishes like the Bavarian Pretzel sticks with their house made IPA mustard, or the Voodoo Chicken pizza made with a spicy Vienna Red Lager bbq sauce.

When it comes to fine dining, there may be no one finer around Lenox than Mission + Market. Located in the towering Alliance Center building across the street from the mall, the restaurant focuses on West Coast inspired flavors from Chef Ian Winslade, and features an open kitchen with world class chefs doing their thing. Try the braised short rib in a red wine vinagrette for a modern approach on a rustic dish, or stop by for brunch and order the Chicken and Waffles with Korean-style fried chicken!

When it comes to business lunch, you can’t do much better than Seven Lamps. The restaurant has remained in place for over 10 years, changing the menu over time and adding Chef’s Table experiences. They have an excellent buffalo chicken on sourdough for lunch, a mouthwatering, house made Tagliatelle pasta for dinner, and a delicious brunch cocktail menu including a breakfast martini with fords gin, orange marmalade, lemon and preserved grapefruit.

Located in the Hotel Colee, Sister has way more style than your typical hotel restaurant. They’re open daily from 7am to 10pm, so you can stop by for breakfast, lunch and dinner. No matter what time of day you visit, you know you can get a great sandwich – that’s what Sister specializes in. For breakfast, you can choose between avocado toast, croque madame et monseiur, and a breakfast BLT. For lunch, chomp down on a grilled cheese or their fried bologna sandwich, with locally made bologna, hot mustard, potato chips, lettuce, mayo and American on toasted brioche. They also have great entrees for dinnertime, like a classic bolognese with pappardelle, a Half Chicken with veggies and lemon rosemary jus, and Chicken Fried Rice.

We can’t make a list about the best restaurants near Lenox without including this award winning Ford Fry pasta palace, St. Cecilia. Located just across the street from the mall in Buckhead’s Pinnacle building, you can find some of the best house made pasta in all of Atlanta at St. Cecilia. Famous for their agnolotti, it’s made with braised beef cheek, fonduta and brown butter. We also love the selection of small plates – Grilled octopus, arancini, and fried gnocchi are always a great way to start a big meal with friends.

When it comes to an amazing Asian menu near Lenox, Silom Thai and Sushi has everything you’re looking for. With a pan-Asian approach to the whole menu, you can get everything from sushi, gyoza, spring rolls and ramen to green curry, Pad Thai and fried rice. Our favorite may have been the Soups – they’re all served in bubbling hot pots and you can choose between Tom Yum Goong (shrimp hot and sour soup), Tom Kha Gai (Chicken coconut cream soup) and the Seafood Hot pot (spicy and sour seafood variety). Also try the omakase if you’re a sushi lover – trust the chefs and let them serve you the freshest fish they can find!
