The Kentucky Derby’s Woodford Spire Cocktail Recipe

Bourbon gets a hit of tartness and citrus in this Woodford Spire Recipe, official drink of the Kentucky Derby. Made with Woodford Reserve, which is also the official bourbon of the Kentucky Derby, this drink is a perfect mix of sweet, sour and smoky spice for day drinking. Plus, in this episode of The Mix you can hear about Julie’s experiences at the derby, which the hometown Louisville lady has been hitting up for years. Ingredients

1½ ounces Woodford Reserve bourbon
2 ounces lemonade
1 ounce cranberry juice
Lemon twist, for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Combine the bourbon, lemonade and cranberry juice in a rocks glass filled with ice.
Step 2: Stir the mixture, garnish with the lemon twist and serve.
