Tuesday’s Great Call | Nam Phuong



Deciding on where to eat can be tough in a city as full of great spots as ours. That’s why, every week we’re making the call, and giving you the inside scoop. This week, we’re going to Nam Phuong.

Where You’re Sitting

Nam Phuong has a huge selection of Vietnamese street foods. As such, they have a HUGE menu. So, gather your  friends and grab one of the big tables in the middle of the table. Look over the menu and ask your server for suggestions. Put everything in the middle and share all the incredible tastes of Vietnam.

What’s in Your Glass

Oh, it’s all about the Vietnamese coffee here, Cafe Sua Nong. Made in a French press with condensed milk, it is strong! Tons of flavor; sweetness with a little bitterness. If it’s hot outside, you can get your coffee iced, just order Cafe Sua Da.

What’s On Your Plate

This is important, start with the Spring Rolls. They are crisp and tasty. Not a hint of grease, but full of bright flavor. Now, most go for the Pho, and it is amazing, but this writer always goes for the Bun Dac Biet. It has been known to haunt my dreams. The base is rice vermicelli and is topped with lettuce, cucumbers, ground peanuts, fish sauce, chicken and shrimp. Oh, and there’s a Spring Roll. You know, because this place is awesome. Go. Tonight.
