Escape For a Meal on The Beach In Buckhead

When you walk into Yebo, you won’t feel like you’re at a ski lounge anymore. Having completed its transition from Yebo Ski Haus to Yebo Beach House on April 4 in just a day and a half, Justin Anthony’s South African & American fusion masterpiece is now designed to take you on a trip to the beach for the evening. Complete with surfboards on the walls, creative cocktails & lighter small plates, Yebo’s new location on West Paces Ferry is all about sharing a terrific dining experience with others, ultimately creating a Boho beach vibe in Buckhead.

With so many tasty & creative options to choose from, we asked Justin about some of his favorites on the Beach Haus menu. Check out the photos below & what he had to say about each dish!

Small Plates

Cold/Raw: Even though he has many favorites, Anthony said he liked the Coconut Ceviche best, which is served inside a real coconut. He recommends scooping out the coconut after finishing the dish for even more flavor.

Vegetable: The roasted cauliflower is the most unique offering, but Anthony is partial to the grilled street corn as it truly signifies summertime and is also unique. Coated in parmesan and a Peri-Peri sauce, these cobs definitely have a kick to them!

Seafood: Available on both the Yebo Beach Haus and Ski Haus menu and his mother’s recipe, the Curry Crab Claw is by far Anthony’s go to for seafood. He cites that curry can stand on its own regardless of the season, and even though crab is more associated with a summer menu, the heartiness of this dish makes it a great fit for both the Beach Haus and Ski Haus menus. It’s also a great representation of South African cuisine and a crowd favorite at Yebo!

Meat: The oxtail tacos are Anthony’s favorite, which were a last minute addition to the Beach Haus menu. Other oxtail dishes are served at 2 of Anthony’s other True Story Brand restaurants (Cape Dutch & Biltong Bar).

Dessert

Anthony is a big chocolate fan, so the Bonfire Chocolate Cake is his clear winner. Served with vanilla gelato, almond florentine, red wine berry coulis & topped with pieces of sugar glass (yes, these are edible!)

Cocktail

Since Anthony is skewed toward bourbon and whiskey, he opts for the Surfer Rosa, made with house rye 100, strawberry syrup, lemon & basil.

If you’re looking for a restaurant with a variety of delicious options that gives you the ambiance of Venice Beach, head to Yebo Beach Haus & go on a mini vacation right here in Buckhead. You won’t just have an incredible meal…you’ll have an incredible hospitality experience.
