Great Mall Meals While You’re Doing Your Last Minute Shopping

The holiday season is the time of year for mall mania. Chances are you’ll find yourself at the mall in the next few days. While you’re navigating through crowds of out of school teenagers and families taking in the sales and waiting for a picture with Santa, you’re bound to build up an appetite. Here’s a list of a few places to satisfy your hunger at Atlanta’s most popular malls.

True Food Kitchen LogoTrue Food Kitchen at Lenox Square Mall: Lenox is probably our most famous mall. It gets a shoutout in tons of songs, not to mention is one of the best places for a celebrity siting in Atlanta.  The cherry on the cake is definitely the True Food Kitchen. It’s sustainable ingredients but with a wide enough variety to appeal to any taste buds (and they’ve got cocktails!). It’s the perfect healthy break before all the holiday indulgences too!

Marlow’s Tavern at the Mall of Georgia: Out of towners always love the aesthetic of an “official” mall. So if you find yourself making the trek out to Buford for a day of shopping, definitely feed yourself. Marlow’s Tavern is the best when it comes to “classic American tavern fare”. It’s comfy setting also provides the perfect unwinding from the holiday chaos.

Davio’s at Phipps Plaza: Phipps just got a face lift and they’ve kicked things up a notch. Take a stroll down luxury lane in the bright and shiny Atlanta staple. Then bring your appetite over to Davio’s. The Northern Italian delights of delicious steaks and handmade pasta dishes. The perfect fuel for keeping the shopping going.

Tin Lizzy’s at Perimeter Mall: Perimeter mall is the reasonable family destination. More useful stores than the glitzy stuff, it’s not unusual that people from all over greater Atlanta venture to this combination of stores and dining. Any time I’m in the area, I always go for Tin Lizzy’s. Something familiarly delicious while being so far from my cozy nest of ITP (kidding!). Plus it’s great service and great food without having to sit in the food court and drink in the noise pollution of the ENTIRE mall.

Maggiano's Chicken CarbonaraMaggiano’s at Cumberland Mall: Whenever I think about family style dinners, I always think about Maggiano’s. Nothing could make my brother and I stop fighting as long as diving into some delicious chicken parmesan could. And we knew we had to play nice from salad to the last breadstick just to get the chocolate cake at the end. This place is perfect if the kids are in tow or if you just want the excuse to cozy up to some delicious Italian comfort food.
