The 5 Lobster Rolls You’ll Be Eating This Summer

Summer is here, and we’re craving lobster rolls! Here are some of the best in Atlanta.

Crawfish Shack

Famous for their crawfish (hence the name), Buford Highway’s Crawfish Shack has begun to spread it’s wings into all things lobster. Their signature lobster roll is a Connecticut style roll, served with 1 pound plus of warmed lobster meat, garlic butter, tarragon leaves and lemon.

The Optimist

Bon Appetit proclaimed the Optimist’s lobster roll as so good it “makes even a New Englander proud”. Chef Adam Evans is certainly doing New England proud at this Ford Fry outpost. Served the traditional way with mayo, celery salt and plenty of lemon juice, this should be your go-to lunch spot in West Midtown. See their Atlanta Eats segment here!

This West Midtown hot spot is known for their burgers and their killer cocktails, but saunter in on a Saturday night and you’ll find 20 lobster rolls waiting for a home. Served on Holeman & Finch buns with a homemade mayo consisting of tarragon and lemon zest, these babies will sell out quick. We recommend getting there right at 5:30 for a taste. Watch the story behind Bocado on Atlanta Eats!

Atlanta Fish Market

We can’t talk about fresh seafood without mentioning Atlanta’s seafood staple, Atlanta Fish Market. Guests are always searching for the most seasonal and flavorful fish option, and this time of year it has to be the lobster roll. Like any other item on Atlanta Fish Market’s menu, the portion is huge and the presentation is on point. See more about Atlanta Fish Market in their Atlanta Eats feature here!

Bite Bistro & Bar

If you’re in Alpharetta and craving a lobster roll, be sure to set your GPS to Bite. Owner Leif Johnson wasn’t sure how well the lobster roll would do on the menu, and locals were happy to prove he did the right thing. Starting with a Holeman & Finch bun and meat from the claw and knuckle, he mixes it with a homemade mayo that includes herbs and Sriracha. The lobster is truly the star here.See more about Bite Bistro & Bar in their Atlanta Eats feature here!
