We’ve put together a list of Christmas pop-ups and holiday pop-up bars for you and your besties or significant other to check out this season. 1. Atlanta Christkindl Market at Buckhead Village

This German holiday market will be held in Buckhead Village from November 24th through December 24. If you’ve never been to the Christkindl Market, it is definitely something you’re gonna want to clear some time on your calendar for. They’ll have 50+ vendors including authentic German food, holiday themed beverages and treats, as well as shopping, live music and more. Take a Saturday and head to Buckhead Village for this festive event. It’ll almost feel like you’re spending the holidays abroad! Only you’ll be about 15 minutes from home instead of 10+ hours away. Be sure to check their hours online before heading over.

2. Happy Who-lidays at Mercantile Social

 20 N Main St, Alpharetta, GA 30004

Mercantile Social in Alpharetta is getting decked out for the holidays! From November 9th through December 31st they completely transform into a Who-ville themed bar and have all things Grinch and Cindy Lou Who inspired decorations, cocktails and more. Head on over there if you are really looking to get into the holiday spirit. And if you don’t feel like getting into the spirit, good luck, because even Mercantile Social could put a smile on the Grinches face!

3. Igloos & Holiday Social Bar at Ponce City Market

675 Ponce De Leon Ave NEAtlanta, GA 30308

Ponce City Market has so much to offer you this holiday season. The Igloos are back at 9 Mile Station at Ponce! Make a reservation and enjoy brunch or dinner from the comfort of your cozy, heated igloo with a beautiful view of the city. Igloos hold up to 6 people so pick your two favorite couples to go out with or rally up your best girls for a unique experience you won’t want to miss out on!

They also have their Holiday Social Bar just inside the tower lobby, and it is decorated to perfection. They have transformed the indoor bar to basically resemble the North Pole, and while you’re enjoying the ambiance, make sure you also have a festive drink in hand. All of the magic will be going on through November and December and some holiday events at PCM will carry on through the first week of January so check their website for dates, times and reservations before you go.

4. Bistro Niko

While not technically a holiday bar, you’ll really be hard-pressed to find a more glamorously festive place to spend the holidays than French favorite Bistro Niko. Around the holidays they go all out with the decor, twinkling lights, nutcrackers, garland, and more elegant decorations all throughout the space. Dine on their signature coq au vin and soak in the holiday cheer at one of Buckhead‘s bests! Pro tip: their Ultimate Dining card, good at any Buckhead Life restaurant, is the perfect Xmas gift for any foodie!

5. Miracle Bar

The Miracle bar is coming back for another year of holiday cheer the Friday after Thanksgiving! This holiday pop-up bar started in NYC in 2014 and due to its success there, has now expanded to not only the entire USA but it has locations all over the world! You already know you can expect incredible decorations, delicious handcrafted cocktails and jolly vibes! Make sure to check their Instagram for updates! They do not accept reservations.

6. The Blind Elf at The Blind Pig

128 E Andrews Dr NWAtlanta, GA 30305

The Blind Pig in Buckhead becomes The Blind Elf for the holiday season. They have already transformed into their holiday pop-up and will be serving al a carte options Wednesday-Saturday Evening. Beginning on November 27th, the Blind Elf pop-up will be available for all of the holiday cheer 7 days a week. Beginning on November 29th, in order to secure a reservation, you must prebook “The Blidn Elf Experience” for $70 pre-fixe that includes tax, gratuity, two appetizers, and two specialty cocktails. The decorations will be over the top, twinkling lights will be everywhere and the holiday themed bevs and bites will be abundant!

7. The Blitzen Room at Biltong Bar 

675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30308

Biltong Bar has already transformed into The Blitzen Room for their annual holiday pop-up. They will be “up to snow good” so make sure you join in the fun at Ponce City Market. There will be tons of swanky, vintage holiday decorations as well as some scrumptious holiday themed cocktails that you certainly will not want to miss out on.

8. “The Rink” at Park Tavern

500 10th St NEAtlanta, GA 30309

Starting over Thanksgiving Weekend, Park Tavern is bringing back their infamous skating rink that offers a beautiful view of Piedmont Park and the Atlanta skyline. Skating is available every day of the week, so make sure you purchase tickets online so you can skate the night away! And if your feet start hurting, don’t fret. There are stone fire pits for you to kick your feet up and relax, igloo experiences, private holiday cabanas, and don’t forget about all of the festive food and drink options they’ll be serving. 9. Urban Tree Cidery’s Rockin’ Around the Urban Tree

Urban Tree Cidery, an Atlanta favorite for totally delicious cider in West Midtown, has transformed into a true Christmas fête! There are Christmas lights, neon signs, stockings, and wrapping paper galore to really get you in a festive mood. While you can still order your favorite ciders, they also are featuring a special cocktail menu of festive drinks, some cider based and some not, and your favorite Christmas classic movies are also being projected onto the walls on repeat. Cheers to that! The tasting room is kid and dog-friendly. No reservations required.

10. Holiday Bar 

1115 Howell Mill RD NW, Atlanta, GA 30318

We can’t imagine a better holiday pop-up bar than one actually called Holiday Bar, year round! Located at The Interlock in West Midtown, Holiday Bar is a good time during every season, but especially around the holidays. It’s a small bar that has an inside/outside concept, with seating at the bar and at some tables inside along with more seats around the fire pit outside. They’re open all day long so you could stop by for a coffee in the morning, or head over a little later and try some cocktails.

11. Tinsel Tavern at Live! At the Battery

825 Battery Ave SE #600, Atlanta, GA 30339

From November 30th through December 23rd, Live at the Battery transforms into a festive, over-the-top holiday experience! For tons of Instagrammable moments, tinsel, and twinkling lights, a visit to the Battery is just in order. Make a reservation online or walk in for bar seating for a first come, first serve basis. 12. Après Ski Holiday Bar at Ranger Station

Beginning December 1st, Ranger Station, the fabulous cocktail bar right above the Beltline’s Ladybird, will be transforming into a retro winter wonderland. 13. Pachengo’s Feliz Naivdad Holiday Bar

This new Mexican spot in Buckhead Village District is making quite the splash with their inaugural Feliz Navidad Holiday Bar! Make a reservation on Open Table. 14. Rowdy Tiger’s Igloos

From November 24th through February 17th, cozy up in one of Rowdy Tiger’s heated igloos. You can enjoy a private igloo on their roof with seasonal cocktails and full dinner menu. Each igloo has its own Bluetooth speaker so you can pick out your own playlist!

 

15. SOS Tiki Bar’s Tiki Christmas

For a totally tiki Christmas, head to Decatur where it’s greater! SOS Tiki Bar remains one of the Greater Metro area’s best spots for cocktails, and you can at least imagine it’s warmer out with their Christmas tiki themed decor. Enjoy a boozy hot chocolate and fun festive cocktails like the Grinch with rum, guava, and coconut or a cool twist on Egg Nog that’s frozen with spiced rum, cinnamon, and nutmeg! 

16. Virtue Rooftop’s Rooftop Holiday Bar

Now through December 29th, enjoy holiday-themed cocktails, light bites, a fun and totally shareable s’mores board, festive tunes, and sparkly Christmas lights at this rooftop! Starting December 1, The Grinch’s Holiday Oasis at Tiki Tango will be in full fledge! Come on out to one of the best tiki bars in Atlanta, which will be disguised as Who-ville all holiday season long. You can bet on having some delicious and festive cocktails while appreciating the over the top decorations throughout the bar.  They will be celebrating Tuesday’s through Saturday’s till New Year’s Eve. So knock off that Grinch attitude and go have yourself some fun!

"The Rink" at Park Tavern

Starting in mid-November, Biltong Bar will transform into The Blitzen Room for their third annual holiday pop-up. They will be “up to snow good” so make sure you join in the fun at either their Buckhead or Ponce City Market locations. There will be tons of swanky, vintage holiday decorations as well as some scrumptious holiday themed cocktails like Chartreuse Hot Chocolate and Frozen Egg Nog!

The Blind Elf at The Blind Pig

The Blind Pig in Buckhead becomes The Blind Elf for the holiday season. Beginning on November 12, The Blind Elf pop-up will be available for all of the holiday cheer every Wednesday through Saturday from 6 p.m. till late. The decorations will be over the top, twinkling lights will be everywhere and the holiday themed bevs and bites will be abundant! Walk-ins are always welcome but if you plan on going, a reservation is always good to have.

Sippin’ Santa at Bon Ton

Sippin’ Santa is like the tiki sibling to the Miracle pop-up bar. Instead of Christmas trees think palm trees, and instead of Santa on a sleigh, picture him on a surfboard. You can expect tons of creative tiki inspired drinks, good music, and of course all of the festive decorations and a jolly good time. Sippin’ Santa will be at Bon Ton this year so make sure to call ahead to get a reservation. The pop-will will open on November 26 so get yourself a Christmas sweater or a Hawaiian shirt and get ready to party!

Santa's Pub at Publico

Publico is transforming into a winter wonderland at the end of November and will have their iconic upside down Santa, hanging presents, lights galore and more. Obviously they will have the Christmas jams spinning and lots of different holiday and movie inspired drinks. Don’t be surprised if you see someone eating Buddy the Elf’s spaghetti breakfast. Get some friends together and head over to Santa’s Pub, it’ll be here till January 1!

MixMas at 12 Cocktail Bar

For the folks wanting a more upscale night, spend some time at tucked away 12 Cocktail Bar in the Ponce City Market tower. They will have some returning festive drinks like the Sleigh Fuel, made with bourbon, cinnamon, eggnog, and coffee, as well as some new cocktails being added to the list. Put on your best peacoat and get ready for the classy holiday party you won’t forget. Reservations are recommended due to the limited amount of space.

Church Street Vacation at Third Door

The Third Door transforms from its typical, cool bar vibes into Church Street Vacation, a themed pop-up inspired by the movie Christmas Vacation. You can expect over the top decorations resembling parts of the movie like a photo booth with Clarke Griswald, Uncle Eddie will be roaming around, and of course there will be lights galore. They will also have themed drinks such as Where’s the Tylenol, It’s beautiful Clarke, and more. You won’t want to miss this picturesque pop-up in Marietta!
