Have you ever had a cream puff? They’re heavenly and light, filled with cream and an awesome puffy texture. And we’d be hard pressed to find a place that does them better than Beard Papa’s. Their matcha and creme brulee cream puffs are total dreams, but if you’re a major chocolate lover, go for their double chocolate cream puff! You can get these creamy, dreamy puffs in Sandy Springs and Peachtree Corners.
Every French meal has to end with French dessert. Creme brulee is always a classic option, but it’s always the profiteroles that should steal any chocolate fanatic’s heart. These choux pastry balls are drenched in a warm chocolate sauce and filled with savory vanilla ice cream. And Bistro Niko does it so well!
While we may be too big fans of fried chicken and burgers to ever go fully vegan, the plant-based options at Cafe Sunflower was truly top tier even if you’re a meateater. Their Pad Thai? Phenomenal. The fried avocado tacos? Out of this world. But as great as their entrees are, you can count on their vegan raspberry chocolate mousse to always steal the show. It’s silky smooth with the perfect ratio of chocolate to raspberry–truly, the stuff of our dreams.
Cape Dutch’s Belgian Chocolate Soup is the true test to determine if you like chocolate a little or chocolate a LOT, because boy oh boy is it rich and decadent and just phenomenal. It’s a chocolate fondue-like dessert, served with small bites of sweet breads and chocolate bits and nuts and other goodies to dip in the soup. Or just pick up your spoon and go to town!
What’s better than chocolate cake? Chocolate cake with 7 layers! People LOVE Frankie the Steakhouse in Duluth, and after one bite of their Dover sole and we can definitely see why! It’s hard to save room after a fantastic meal at Frankie’s, with filet mignon and seafood towers always tempting us, but the 7 layer cake is totally worth it. It’s fabulously moist and rich, and it’s absolutely shareable–our 8 or so person TV crew shared one of these slices between all of us and still had a ton leftover!
Krungthep Teatime is fusion at its best! This restaurant specializes in bringing bold Thai flavors into panini style sandwiches which really just combines two of our favorite things in this world. And if that wasn’t enough to get you drooling, we guarantee you that their Brick Toasts will. These over-the-top desserts consist of toasted buttery bread topped with a smorgasbord of delicious toppings from nutella to fresh berries to matcha ice cream. For chocolate lovers, the Ferrero Chocolate Bricktoast is clutch. It’s topped with Nutella Chocolate Gelato, Ferrero Rocher, crushed peanuts, and drizzled all over with chocolate syrup.
Every trip to Atlantic Station has to end in a trip to Kilwin’s or you didn’t do it right!
