Best Restaurants in Canton, GA
Canton, centered right between the city of Atlanta and the Blue Ridge Mountains, is a vibrant town with stunning views and stellar eats.
Here are some of our favorite spots to grab a bite in Canton.

Community Burger
Any chef will tell you that the best dishes are the most comforting, and Chef Todd Hogan has brought that philosophy to Community Burger, mixing comfort with complexity.
The Community Burger is topped with roasted onions, smoked gouda, horseradish sour cream, and their signature sauce. You can also get the Huevos Rancheros chorizo burger with pepper jack, guacamole, a fried, egg, arugula, and ranchero sauce. If you’re not in a burger mood, get the Grouper Sandwich or the Hatch Chili and Peach Glazed Chicken, served of course with their divine tots or onion rings.
That’s where the “burger” in the name comes in, but the “community” part comes from their vested interest in the community, donating a percentage of sales to charities every month, and offering the customers a chance to pick which charity to support.
Canyons Fresh Grill
Canyons Fresh Grill serves up fresh and locally-sourced items that confirm that the quickest way to a customer’s heart is indeed through their stomach.
Their chicken fingers are showstoppers. The “W” Burger has swiss and cheddar cheese with bacon jam, a fried egg, pickled onion, and a garlic truffle aioli and oh so very much flavor. Even the Spring Berry Salad is anything but boring: mixed greens topped with grilled chicken, sweet and spicy candied pecans, goat cheese, mandarin oranges, and strawberries with a strawberry vinaigrette. After any of these, you’ll have definitely earned your homemade milkshake.

Bizarre Coffee
Who doesn’t love a neighborhood coffee shop? However, when it roasts and grinds its own beans, whips up a mean roster of breakfasts like smoothies, acai bowls, and breakfast burritos, and concocts creative drinks like an Apple Pie Chai Latte and a spicy Lava Java…there’s so much more to love.
Atomic Biscuit
Biscuits + booze = a Southerner’s dream. Atomic Biscuit is here to make those dreams come true.
They have a wide range of biscuit sandwiches, including their namesake The Atomic, with fried chicken dipped in bourbon-maple syrup, country ham, cheddar cheese, sausage gravy, and bacon jam topped with an egg. Or crank up the heat with the Great Balls of Fire: Nashville hot chicken with pepper jack, pickles, and a drizzle of honey. Pair these with your pick of Bloodys, screwdrivers, or coffee cocktails, and there’s simply no beating that meal.
Mamma Onesta’s Italian Restaurant
Live life “The Italian Way” at Mamma Onesta’s!
Everything from the evening atmosphere to the inviting food will make you feel like a member of Mamma’s family. They serve up all your Italian favorites, made with love: calamari, eggplant parm, chicken piccata, homemade manicotti, spaghetti with clams. And we all know you’re going to save room for Mamma’s Homemade Bread Pudding.
Local on North
Come for the live music, stay for the grub!
Local on North has a few dishes you shouldn’t miss. Their Made Right Onion Soup and Fried Goat Cheese Croquette are two top-tier ways to start your meal. And to end it, look no further than the Fried Chocolate Cake, a flourless chocolate cake rolled in graham crackers, deep fried, and served with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. Quit drooling and make your way over ASAP!
Goin’ Coastal
Whether it’s a Low-Country Shrimp Boil or Tuna Poke, Goin’ Coastal shows some culinary love to all types of flavors and styles of seafood.
The Tuna Miso sits fresh tuna atop a bed of spinach, shiitake mushrooms, bok choy, carrots, and red pepper, and gives it a bath of miso broth, a light yet satisfying meal. The fan-favorite Seared Scallops are pan-seared and placed over a white truffle pesto risotto and finished with truffle oil. If you’re more carnivore than pescetarian, the Espresso-Crusted Ribeye is seared and topped with a sweet onion butter. Indulge in the surf and the turf!
Branchwater
Branchwater is another of Chef Todd Hogan’s killer spots, living at the coveted intersection of inspiration and flawless execution.
The Grilled Chicken and Bacon Jalapeño Poppers elevate the app we all love, stuffing the peppers with chicken and bacon and serving them with buttermilk ranch sour cream. The steaks are served with garlic mashed potatoes and the veggie of the day; no matter the cut or the prep, you’ll be a happy customer.
Riverstone Corner Bistro
RCB is the place “where everyone knows your name, and [they’re] always glad you came”. Between their live music, scrumptious Southern food, and stiff drinks, you’ll definitely want to become a regular.
The Fried Green Tomatoes, topped with goat cheese, bacon, and peach chutney, are a favorite, as are the Shrimp & Grits, with a lemon garlic cream sauce. They also grill a mean Hanger Steak and whip up one of the tastiest French Dips you’ll ever eat.
Williamson Bros Bar-B-Q
A BBQ icon! Williamson Bros is perhaps best known for their Original Bar-B-Q Sauce (available in many local grocery stores, along with their Carolina style, Chipotle, and more). As much as you might want to enjoy it with a spoon (no judgment), pair it up with their Pulled Pork Platter and maybe throw in some Brunswick Stew, Mac n’ Cheese, or Fried Okra.
Keithsburg Cafe
Keithsburg Cafe is the place to go when you’re craving a country breakfast, the type you eat before heading to church or spending the day outside doing yard work…or taking a long nap.
Either way, don’t overthink your order here. They make a mean omelet and their grits are just what the doctor ordered.
Giggle Monsters Craft Donuts
No neighborhood is complete without a donut shop. Luckily for Cantonites, Giggle Monsters rises to the occasion. They’ve got many of your favorite donut flavors, but also get a little extra funky with it, offering flavors like Maple Bacon and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Go bold or get something as simple yet succulent as an Apple Fritter.

Bananas and Beehives
John and Laurie Sutton have brought their lifelong passion for baking to Canton with a bakery specializing in French-inspired fare, cookies, and ice cream. When everything is so tasty and varied, it’s hard to make just one recommendation. But you’d be wise to start with: Pecan Praline Cookies, Lemon Bars, Extreme Milkshakes, Ham & Smoked Gruyere Croissants, and Everything Focaccia. Looks like you might just have to become a repeat customer just so you can try everything.
Alessandro’s Italian Cafe & Pizzeria
Alessandro’s may appear to be your run-of-the-mill pasta and pizza joint, but they actually serve phenomenal upscale Italian fare.
For example, the Chicken Francese is pounded thin and pan-seared in a white wine and lemon butter sauce that is both light and robust. The Eggplant Parmesan is a classic that won’t leave you missing the meat. The Zuppa di Mussels has a lovely olive oil, wine, and garlic sauce, and isn’t a good sauce the most important part of eating mussels?

Salty Mule
Canton may not border any oceans, but with seafood this fresh and flavorful, you might as well show up in your bathing suit.
The Conch Fritters are a staple, served Bahamian style with a key lime drizzle. The Oysters on the Half Shell are some of the tastiest you’ll find, available raw or chargrilled. For your main course, it’s hard to beat the Seafood Platters, where you can pick two between: red shrimp, flounder, scallops, and more, each available fried, grilled, blackened, or pan-seared.
