Where to Get a Classic Caesar Salad Around Atlanta
There are not many things that everyone in this world can agree on, except for one thing: Caesar salads are superior and should be ordered pretty much any time you go out to eat. And if you don’t agree, you’re just plain wrong. Jokes aside, you can’t deny the incredible combination that is romaine, some shredded parmesan and garlic croutons. Reference our list in alphabetical order of where to get a crisp caesar salad in Atlanta.
C. Ellet’s
2605 Circle 75 Pkwy Suite 400, Atlanta, GA 30339
We’re starting off with a steakhouse located at The Battery. And one thing steakhouses do well (besides the steak of course) is a caesar salad. This is a great spot to grab a meal before or after a Braves game. When you order your caesar, be sure to ask for creole chicken on it. It is so juicy and flavorful and really makes the meal. A nice little touch just for fun? Get an order of the truffle fries on the side.
Cypress Street
817 W Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308
Not only does Cypress Street have good food, it also brings the vibes. Whether you’re here to watch a football game or you’re drinking mimosas on the patio on a Sunday morning, this is always a happening spot. We love the menu options, the prices and the atmosphere here, but let’s get down to business. If you’ve been eating like crap all week and need some lettuce in your system, let us introduce you to the Cypress Street caesar. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s reliable and gets the job done. Get the blacked salmon on top, it’s delicious.
Fritti
309 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30307
Fritti happens to be a personal favorite of mine for a handful of reasons. It’s a great spot to have dinner with a group of friends, they have inside and outside seating, great espresso martinis, tons of choices when it comes to pizza and of course… caesar salad. I wouldn’t even bother adding protein to your salad because in this instance, it’s not exactly the main event. I love to split a pizza and salad with a friend here and nosh to our hearts content. The Speck e Rucola pizza has smoked prosciutto, smoked mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, arugula, olive oil and happens to be one of my favorites. This with a caesar salad, espresso martini and your besties is the recipe for a wonderful evening.
Grana
1835 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30324
A favorite date night spot in ATL is Grana. They are known for their meatball flight and great portions for sharing. I am partial to the gnocchi here, but I’ll say everything I’ve tried at Grana has always been very good. Their caesar salad is another simple, yet wonderful option. They take the breadcrumb route rather than whole croutons, and they add shaved parmesan on top (which is probably my favorite way to enjoy parm on a salad).
Houston’s
2166 Peachtree Rd, Atlanta, GA 30309
Houstons is the perfect steakhouse. It’s in a poppin’ part of town, they serve great cocktails and their meat is fantastic. Some even say they have one of the best burgers in Atlanta. But if for whatever reason you don’t want a burger, or perhaps you do want a burger but maybe a healthier side than fries, the caesar salad has your back. Grated Reggiano, rustic croutons, and eggless caesar dressing, what more could you ask for?
Local On North
3085 Main St #530, Duluth, GA 30096
This Duluth restaurant is perfect for all occasions. Moms night out, work lunch, birthday dinner or Tuesday night are all great reasons to dine here. From appetizers to dessert and cocktails, they certainly have something that everyone in your party will love. Their caesar salad has shredded parm, croutons and another personal favorite of mine, parmesan crisps all mixed in with their house made dressing.
Luciano’s
6555 Sugarloaf Pkwy #309, Duluth, GA 30097
Another OTP classic and wonderful Italian restaurant is Luciano’s in Duluth. From the fresh bread that hits the table when you walk in, to the wonderful drinks and service, they know what they’re doing. If I’m not getting pasta here, which I typically am, but on the off chance that I’m not, I love to do a soup and salad combo. Their tomato basil bisque is outstanding and of course, the caesar salad hits the spot, too.
Marcel
1170 Howell Mill Rd, Atlanta, GA 30318
Now I hate to be biased here, however Marcel is in fact king when it comes to caesar salad in Atlanta. Don’t hate the player, hate the game. The reason being, they make the salad table-side, from scratch, dressing and all. The experience in itself is so entertaining, and the final product just so happens to be delicious. How could it not? Everything about Marcel is class and their salad follows suit.
Marlow’s Tavern
Multiple locations
I’m not a huge fan of adding chains to these lists, however Marlow’s feels different. It really is a great neighborhood spot and they’ve yet to let me down. No matter what I’m getting for my entree, every meal here has to begin with their asparagus fries. They come with a side of aioli that is literally out of this world. For dinner, the classic caesar salad with some grilled chicken is great. This salad has romaine, tuscan kale, egg, parmesan and crumbled focaccia and I could probably eat it everyday for lunch.
North Italia
3393 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30326
Another Italian restaurant in ATL that people have been loving is North Italia. I typically shy away from restaurants at the mall, but that doesn’t make them any less special or delicious. At this restaurant, you are going to go with 1-2 friends and order the following, in this order: White truffle bread, caesar salad with salmon, bolognese, and the seasonal butter cake. Thank me later.
