Crispy, savory, hot, and fresh–these components are a MUST HAVE when it comes to fries, and it’s all too disappointing when you order some for a cheat meal and they come out soggy, cold, and just plain gross. But have no fear, we can guarantee the ones below deliver the flavors and the savoriness you crave in a fry.

Decatur, GA 30033
They are *not* messing around when it comes to the food scene in Decatur. They certainly know what they’re doing at Brew & Bird when it comes to chicken. This Korean fried chicken/Asian fusion spot has all sorts of deliciousness on the menu, from Korean garlic pepper wings to lemon pepper to Korean spicy BBQ, , but their fries hit just as hard too. Go for their house or sweet potato fries for a perfectly seasoned fry that’s extra crispy.
99 Krog St NE
Atlanta, GA 30307
If you know, you know. This Krog Street spot is the truth for all things meat & bread, but also totally the king of fries. All their flavors of fries are wonderful, from BBQ fries in a white BBQ sauce to their Old Bay fries served with tartar sauce. But it’s their garlic fries that are a personal favorite, served with ranch and topped with huge chunks of garlic and fresh herbs. Just be sure to have an Altoid afterwards.

Grindhouse is as solid as they come. Great burgers, great shakes, and great fries. Get them topped with a cheese sauce or go for the dirty south fries and load ’em up with chili, pico de gallo, bacon, cheddar sauce, jalapeños & chipotle ranch. Their sweet potato fries are also something you don’t want to sleep on.

We just got the news that JCT Kitchen is closing down for good on December 31 of this year–they’re revamping into a new concept. And we’re seriously considering filing a change.org petition for them to include these truffle fries on whatever that new concept is, because they are fry perfection. Crispy and just the right amount of greasy, with a fantastic aioli and a generous dusting of truffle oil and parmesan cheese. Enjoy them while you can, preferably on their patio overlooking the train tracks. It’s a great date night idea.
5. KARV Kitchen’s Fries
5126 Peachtree Blvd Suite 200B
Chamblee, GA 30341
KARV Kitchen, a totally underrated Greek spot in Chamblee, seriously knows what they’re doing when it comes to fried foods. Their zucchini chips with tzatziki sauce kill, and the fries come seasoned to perfection and with a special spicy sauce that’s also fabulous.
1878 Piedmont Ave NE
Atlanta, GA 30324
Only thing better than a french fry is a loaded french fry. Little Rey knows that and loads theirs up with charred jalapeños and bacon, and it’s fantastic. This Chef Ford Fry spot is known for their chicken al carbon, or chicken grilled using charcoal, fabulous with tortillas and a little bit of salsa verde.

Dig into the surprisingly awesome fries at what’s consistently rated as one of Atlanta’s best steakhouses! They taste amazing dipped into sauce au poivre that comes with l’entrecôte. It’s truly divine!
For a delicious, filling meal for a great value, Ponko Chicken is the place to go. Their sweet, Japanese fried chicken is addicting, and their fries are the perfect complement. Perfectly seasoned and not thick or too thin. You will leave full and happy!

Puncho’s gets 5 stars for their creatively named fries alone, from “The Bluff” with crispy, hot honey lemon pepper chicken bites and ranch to the “Seafood Shawty” topped with shrimp, sauteed crag, fresh garlic and cajun aioli. This place is the place to go if loaded fries is your passion as they’ve got something for everybody. The actual fries could be a little crispier, but this place is still worth a try.

Atlanta, GA 30308
The Wu Fries are where it’s at at this brewery/gastropub. They are waffle fries smothered in everything but the kitchen sink: buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, cheddar cheese, and scallions. Talk about a cheat meal! It’s a great start to an evening out on Ponce, and Torched Hop is spacious and great for groups as well.
Sesame fries are always a good idea. Especially with the chipotle ketchup they come with, or souped up with a side of sriracha cheese dip! Find their food truck rolling around town or at their brick-and-mortar locations in Toco Hills and Brookwood Village.
